Background: ceramic tile wastewater slurry contains a large amount of fine kaolinite particles acting as matrix for mineral filler quartz and mullite. Reinforcing it with natural fibers increases its compression strength. A novel approach is using Stipa pennata because their local availability, good mechanical properties, feathery aspect, making them able to reinforce compacts. With the increasing demand for lithium resources and enhancement of global environmental awareness, how to efficiently environmentally develop clay-type is great strategic significance future development. Clay-type slag (LS) a byproduct resulting from extraction ores. Understanding the strength development of alkali-activated materials (AAMs) with fly ash (FA) and granulated blast furnace slag (GBFS) is crucial for designing high-performance AAMs. This study investigates mechanism AAMs using machine learning. A total 616 uniaxial compressive (UCS) data points from FA-GBFS-based AAM mixtures were collected published literature to train four tree-based learning models. Among these models, Gradient Boosting Regression (GBR) demonstrated highest prediction accuracy, a correlation coefficient (R-value) 0.970 root mean square error (RMSE) 4.110 MPa on test dataset. The SHapley Additive exPlanations (SHAP) analysis revealed that water content most influential variable in development, followed by curing periods. recommends calcium-to-silicon ratio around 1.3, sodium-to-aluminum slightly below 1, silicon-to-aluminum above 3 optimal performance. proposed design model was validated through laboratory experiments mixtures, confirming model’s reliability. research provides novel insights into offers practical guide elemental design, potentially leading more sustainable construction materials.

Sela Dingay kaolin deposit is a primary formed mainly through the weathering of rhyolitic ignimbrite. Integrated analyses geological, mineralogical, geochemical and physical properties were conducted to characterise industrial applications kaolin. X-ray diffraction (XRD) attenuated total reflection-Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (ATR-FTIR) used raw samples. The results show that composed kaolinite (66–93%) quartz (9–34%). higher chemical index alteration (CIA = 94.2%) (CIW 96.8%) values suggest was by intense under oxidising conditions. consists high percentage clay/silt-sized particles, low shrinkage value (1.1–3.4%), medium-high plastic limit (25–35%), with specific gravity pH ranging between 2.47 2.56 g/cm 3 6.3 7.2, respectively. overall medium grade it can be for various appropriate beneficiation processes remove amounts Fe 2 O quartz.
