Aims: This study aims to evaluate the knowledge, attitude, and compliance of students working in sterile area operating room on surgical hand preparation procedure using ultraviolet lamp method. Methods: The was planned as a cross-sectional research carried out at technology department. This conducted with total 94 first-and second-year students. The data collected through "the introductory information, hygiene, attitude form", photographs were taken under after fluorescent alcohol-based antiseptic.Compliance rubbing evaluated based duration, technique, efficiency this procedure. Results:The students.Of students, 67 (71.3%) female, 52 (55.3%) first year, most preferred scrubbing (n=89, 94.7%).Only 19 (20.2%) stated that they fully complied procedure. The students' knowledge moderate, their attitudes positive. The median value for duration 1.5 (1.24-2.51)minutes.The alcoholbased antiseptic uncovered percentage larger left-and right-hand dorsal surfaces than palmar surface. In both arms, higher proximal distal regions, whereas intensity lower regions. The negatively correlated positively effectiveness procedure. Conclusion: Students had lack practice regarding rubbing/scrubbing procedure.Since closely related technique effectiveness, prolonging period may improve correct execution procedure. This is UV lamps procedures, additional studies are needed.

Background: Peri-implantitis, the most prevalent cause of implant failure, is a multifaceted issue that influenced by various factors promote biofilm formation around implant. Although innovative methods for microbiological decontamination dental implants exist, universally accepted standard protocol has not yet been established. However, potential device generates an electric current (Ximplant®) in reducing survival microorganisms within promising development. Methods: In this vitro study, five implants, contaminated using microbial culture from sample saliva patient suffering peri-implantitis, were decontaminated Ximplant® peri-implantitis protocol. The experimental conditions included simulated peri-implant site and subsequent fluorescent assessment Live/Dead population. Results: qualitative quantitative image analyses showed predominant dead light signal on treated sample, demonstrating efficacy applying electrostatic field to surface viability implants. Conclusions: These findings could inspire new era treatment.

This study sought to compare the rotational freedom and structural changes of abutment connections in dual-retained screw-retained metal-ceramic implant restorations at different fabrication stages following thermomechanical loading. Twenty were equally divided into two groups. Group 1 (G1) consisted on prefabricated titanium abutments, while 2 (G2) comprised UCLA chromium-cobalt overcast abutments. Specimens underwent 500 cycles thermocycling 500,000 mechanical Changes connection dimensions compared within between groups before- post-loading. Statistical analyses conducted using a generalized linear model (GLM). The significance level was set α = 0.05. Initially, no significant differences observed (P >.05). After loading, G2 exhibited significantly smaller hexagon side lengths diagonal measurements, along with increased hexagonal angle deformation concentricity <.001) G1. Rotational greater G1 both before after loading <.001). experienced dimensional <.001), whereas showed pre- post-loading Dual-retained outperformed ones minimal alteration higher stability.

Abstract Background The rising global demand for dental implant highlights the necessity precise imaging techniques that minimise patient risk of radiation exposure. While cone -beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) remains gold standard, its ionizing exposure raises safety concerns. This systematic review and meta-analysis aim to evaluate accuracy non-ionizing alternatives, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Ultrasonography, in implantology. Methods Databases (MEDLINE, Scopus, Cochrane) were searched studies (2014–2024) using predefined PICO criteria. Risk bias was assessed via QUADAS-2. Meta-analysis employed fixed/random-effects models synthesize quantitative data on geometric deviations soft-tissue accuracy. Results Twelve included this study. MRI generally exhibited greater deviation tip placement at 0.3mm (95% CI -0.08, 0.68), overall remained comparable CBCT. showed a higher mean entry level 0.38mm 0.04, 0.71) angulation with difference 0.81 degree -0.50, 2.12), indicating less precision under specific conditions. Conversely, Ultrasonography demonstrated superior performance soft tissue smaller compared CBCT, just 0.04mm -0.04, 0.13). Conclusion ultrasonography offer reliable alternatives planning, matching CBCT hard-tissue excelling assessment. Further standardisation protocols is needed address variability clinical workflows.

Interdisciplinary decision-making significantly influences both the therapeutic potential and clinical outcomes, shaping attitudes management strategies. As integration between endodontic restorative-prosthetic considerations becomes increasingly prevalent, it is essential to understand how different dental specialists, particularly general practitioners, prosthodontists endodontists, approach collaborate optimize patient care. Objectives: This study aims identify practice disparities in post-endodontic crown placement inform national policy reforms, including standardised timing protocols interdisciplinary referral criteria. Methods: A structured questionnaire was distributed dentists practicing Romania, yielding 238 collected responses. Results: Substantial variability found approaches: diagnostic imaging preferences indicated frequent use of periapical radiography (83.49%) CBCT (53.67%). Over 70% expressed high confidence CBCT’s precision, higher than (Wilcoxon Signed-Rank test, p < 0.00001). statistically significant majority (69.3%, binomial 0.001) preferred delaying definitive until radiographic healing lesions. Logistic regression analysis showed endodontists were less likely choose invasive treatments compared other specialists (p = 0.027). Although clinicians widely recognize significance prosthetic planning, its early into overall treatment strategy has been inconsistent. Conclusions: points out necessity for guidelines that clearly integrate planning decision-making, enhancing predictability tooth preservation.

Metal-reinforced polymethyl-methacrylate (PMMA) is considered the gold standard material for immediate loading on dental implants. However, mechanical problems under cycles can occur, such as fractures. To overcome these drawbacks, a novel polymer-based has been proposed. The aim of present in vitro comparative research to validate composite polymer developed replace metal-reinforced PMMA interim restoration due its advantages good proprieties, easier manufacturing, and handling. This study investigates the effects of various surface modification techniques on Ti-6Al-4V alloy for biomedical applications. Mechanical treatments (sandblasting, shot peening) and electrochemical corrosion using different electrolytes were employed to modify characteristics. Surface morphology, roughness, hardness, chemical composition analyzed SEM, profilometry, Raman spectroscopy. Cell attachment studies revealed that combined treatments, particularly peening followed by HF/HNO3 etching, significantly enhanced cell adhesion distribution. The results demonstrate potential tailoring surfaces optimize biocompatibility osseointegration properties dental orthopedic implants.
