The purpose of the present study was to perform a preliminary analysis fitting different fiber-reinforced composite (GFRC) posts tooth root canals and determine resin cement layer thickness. following GFRC were assessed: bundle (Rebilda GTTM, VOCO, Germany), sleeve system (SAPTM, Angelus Ind, Brazil), accessory (ReforpinTM, Angelus, Brazil). Twenty-four freshly extracted mandibular single-rooted pre-molars endodontically treated divided into six groups, according type post (self-adhesive or conventional dual-cured). Then, specimens cross-sectioned inspected by optical microscopy regarding thickness presence defects such as pores, voids, fissures assessed. Bundle revealed regular distribution with lower number voids than found systems. showed poor at apical portion canals. did not affect interface, although both allow better fibers. reveals interesting insights on dentin in oval-shape adequate only coronal

Background: Peri-implantitis, the most prevalent cause of implant failure, is a multifaceted issue that influenced by various factors promote biofilm formation around implant. Although innovative methods for microbiological decontamination dental implants exist, universally accepted standard protocol has not yet been established. However, potential device generates an electric current (Ximplant®) in reducing survival microorganisms within promising development. Methods: In this vitro study, five implants, contaminated using microbial culture from sample saliva patient suffering peri-implantitis, were decontaminated Ximplant® peri-implantitis protocol. The experimental conditions included simulated peri-implant site and subsequent fluorescent assessment Live/Dead population. Results: qualitative quantitative image analyses showed predominant dead light signal on treated sample, demonstrating efficacy applying electrostatic field to surface viability implants. Conclusions: These findings could inspire new era treatment.

This study sought to compare the rotational freedom and structural changes of abutment connections in dual-retained screw-retained metal-ceramic implant restorations at different fabrication stages following thermomechanical loading. Twenty were equally divided into two groups. Group 1 (G1) consisted on prefabricated titanium abutments, while 2 (G2) comprised UCLA chromium-cobalt overcast abutments. Specimens underwent 500 cycles thermocycling 500,000 mechanical Changes connection dimensions compared within between groups before- post-loading. Statistical analyses conducted using a generalized linear model (GLM). The significance level was set α = 0.05. Initially, no significant differences observed (P >.05). After loading, G2 exhibited significantly smaller hexagon side lengths diagonal measurements, along with increased hexagonal angle deformation concentricity <.001) G1. Abstract Background The rising global demand for dental implant highlights the necessity precise imaging techniques that minimise patient risk of radiation exposure. While cone -beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) remains gold standard, its ionizing exposure raises safety concerns. This systematic review and meta-analysis aim to evaluate accuracy non-ionizing alternatives, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Ultrasonography, in implantology. Methods Databases (MEDLINE, Scopus, Cochrane) were searched studies (2014–2024) using predefined PICO criteria. Risk bias was assessed via QUADAS-2. Meta-analysis employed fixed/random-effects models synthesize quantitative data on geometric deviations soft-tissue accuracy. Results Twelve included this study. MRI generally exhibited greater deviation tip placement at 0.3mm (95% CI -0.08, 0.68), overall remained comparable CBCT. showed a higher mean entry level 0.38mm 0.04, 0.71) angulation with difference 0.81 degree -0.50, 2.12), indicating less precision under specific conditions. Conversely, Ultrasonography demonstrated superior performance soft tissue smaller compared CBCT, just 0.04mm -0.04, 0.13). Conclusion ultrasonography offer reliable alternatives planning, matching CBCT hard-tissue excelling assessment. Further standardisation protocols is needed address variability clinical workflows.

The objectives present study were to assess patients' perception opting or non-opting for dental as replacement missing teeth determine correlation between various factors perceived demand implant treatment. Materials methods: A cross-sectional observational was conducted on 214 partially edentulous aged 21 50 years. These patients sought treatment replace their teeth. participants provided with detailed information regarding options replacing teeth, including removable prostheses, fixed partial dentures, implants. researchers recorded evaluated reasons behind decision opt decline using chi-squared test. Categorical variables summarized percentages (n %). association binary data examined point biserial correlation, whereas, continuous data, Pearson coefficient employed. This study investigates the effects of various surface modification techniques on Ti-6Al-4V alloy for biomedical applications. Mechanical treatments (sandblasting, shot peening) and electrochemical corrosion using different electrolytes were employed to modify characteristics. Surface morphology, roughness, hardness, chemical composition analyzed SEM, profilometry, Raman spectroscopy. Cell attachment studies revealed that combined treatments, particularly peening followed by HF/HNO3 etching, significantly enhanced cell adhesion distribution. The results demonstrate potential tailoring surfaces optimize biocompatibility osseointegration properties dental orthopedic implants.
