Abstract Government is the custodian of most critical (and limited) factor production , namely, land. Assuring security tenure, arbitrating disputes, and facilitating transfer or sales titles renders land market more efficient less volatile, attracting investors promoting sustainable urban development. Agrivoltaic systems (AVS) (elevated solar arrays enabling energy and rainwater harvesting alongside crop production), have been gaining increasing traction globally. Most research has focused on the technical efficacy of AVS, with less attention paid to social dimensions few studies in East Africa (EA). This had two aims; firstly, identify critical factors, institutions support required successfully widen AVS adoption across EA. Secondly, could widening help address climate-energy-food production-population growth challenges predicted for coming decades. We present findings from case study farms where was installed (Kenya Tanzania). undertook user journey mapping 14 participants associated farms, monitor their experiences, building narratives that factors African adoption. Land, as a factor of production, has vital role within the agricultural sector compared with other sectors. However, in recent years, land mobility become significant issue around world increased concentration and competition for ownership, limiting overall competitiveness agri-food constraining potential opportunities new entrant farmers to access land. While leasing is increasingly being embraced common form tenure serving an alternative purchase agriculture, length lease been shown have impact on productivity sustainability. In this study, we provide comprehensive systematic review exploring benefits longer-term particular focus developed countries some selected developing context commercial farming more formal arrangements. On the basis of a data set from four research sites over course three agricultural years (2006/2007, 2012/2013, 2016/2017), this article empirically assesses relations between land tenure security and smallholder farms' crop production in Rwanda. We show that general assumption secure improves farm level harvests, is not found for farms defined farmland index based on plausible threats as conveyed by farmers at each site. Our findings indicate harvest main crops did neither statistically correlate with index, nor differences mean all sites. Instead, factors mainly related to ongoing intensification program, though threatening security, contributed increase small harvests. Lower affect satisfaction most them claiming end what matters their harvests continue increase. Therefore, Rwanda, new wave agriculture strategizing contributes increasing prioritized decreasing simultaneously.

Land is a precious resource in the Ethiopian highlands, where entire agricultural system depends on rain-fed system. The faces multiple interconnected environmental and socioeconomic challenges. Among these, absence of tenure security has significantly affected farmers’ willingness to adopt soil water conservation practices (SWCPs), leading decline land productivity, hindering household food security, contributing an increase land-related disputes. Economic pressure frequently prompts farmers in developing regions to prioritize immediate financial returns over long-term land conservation. This study examines how intermediary organizations affect Chinese farmers’ willingness conserve cultivated land. Using bounded rationality and property rights theories, we conducted quantitative research involving 564 across five provinces mainland China. The results show that improve land, mediated by tenure stability. Notably, both human capital (education level) social (village cadre status) negatively moderated the impact of organizations’ involvement this indicate necessity improving conservation practices, considering role institutional support individual characteristics farmers. In terms policy implications, there is a need adapt services align with levels farmers, enhance security land-use streamlining registration procedures, implement targeted information systems incentive schemes. Limitations include its cross-sectional design potential regional variations.

This paper looks into the impact of China’s new rural land reform, three rights separation policy (TRSP), on Chinese farmers’ income. Based data collected from 360 households in Anhui Province, China, 2021, this constructed influence pathways TRSP household income and estimated effects along different using structural equation model (SEM) model. It showed that through expanding planting scale promoting resource-use efficiency, tenure system can indirectly increase transfer-in However, has a significant negative direct effect transfer-out households’ income, only slight transferring labor to other industries or relaxing liquidity constraint. In short, TRSP’s gains is more prominent than ones, which long run would lead an increased gap, so if lack easy access non-farm employment. Our findings suggest public authorities should respect autonomy transfer decisions pay special attention poverty alleviation.
