This scoping review presents an overview of existing research about children's representation in child protection decision-making and identifies the knowledge gaps. Truth-telling in health care is about providing patients with accurate information their diagnoses and prognoses to enable them make decisions that can benefit overall health. Physicians worldwide, especially the United Kingdom (U.K.) States (U.S.), openly share such medical information. Bangladesh, however, a Muslim-majority society different social norms than Western societies. Therefore, we examined whether Muslim culture supports truth disclosure for patients, particularly how what extent life-threatening diseases provided Bangladesh. This was phenomenological qualitative study. We conducted thirty in-depth interviews clinicians, nurses, relatives at Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital Dhaka, also used observations explore interactions between families healthcare professionals regarding involvement issues. NVivo software identify common themes, thematic analysis method utilised analyse datasets. study identified three recurring themes relevant ethics practice of disclosure: best interest rather autonomy, ambivalent value deception who understands what. The participants revealed physicians often withhold fatal from terminally ill ensure outcomes. results indicate towards commonly accepted as means reducing burden comfort. opined true should be withheld some assuming disclosures may create severe on them. Whether or disclosed primarily depends family's wishes preferences. While considered an ethical norm many cultures, U.K. U.S., concealing partially revealing actual Bangladeshi society. emphasises importance recognising patient's active respecting cultural values shape family decision-making.
