Abstract
Background
Nanoplastics
(NPs)
have
emerged
as
significant
environmental
pollutants,
raising
concerns
due
to
their
ubiquitous
presence
and
potential
adverse
effects
on
human
health.
The
migration
fate
of
NPs
in
the
environment
are
subjects
intense
study,
with
exposure
pathways
expanding
through
ingestion,
inhalation,
dermal
contact.
Body
Studies
indicate
that
can
infiltrate
cardiovascular
system,
potentially
causing
effects.
Mechanistic
insights
from
vitro
animal
studies
suggest
oxidative
stress,
inflammation,
apoptosis,
mitochondrial
dysfunction
contribute
nanoplastic-induced
toxicity.
Animal
models
demonstrate
altered
heart
rate,
myocardial
fibrosis,
following
exposure,
specific

cardiac
