The increasing demand for orthopedic implants has driven the search materials that combine strength, biocompatibility, and long lifetime. Compared to stainless steel Co-Cr-based alloys, titanium (Ti) its alloys are favored biomedical because of their high corrosion resistance, biocompatibility. This comprehensive review delivers a wide overview field titanium-based biomaterials applications, focusing on types, mechanical chemical surface modifications, innovations in fabrication techniques, matrix composites, machine learning advancements. Titanium different crystalline phases, including α, near-α, (α + β), β, shape memory offer diverse options applications. Abstract In the present research, nanosecond short-pulsed laser with rotary drilling method was designed to process carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) composite plate. The hole dimension, surface morphology, heat-affected zone (HAZ), and mechanical properties were analyzed. results reveal that CFRP plate could be rapidly drilled highly qualified processing by method. figures such as circle, square, triangle, regular hexagon processed minimum diameter of 0.1 mm. changing scanning speed power result in variation entrance exit, which fluctuates scope 35 μm. calculated biggest taper angle is about 0.43°, but smallest 0.12°. on CFPR decreases tensile strength 9%, should ascribed damage continuous fiber, it still acceptable. generates a small HAZ almost no exit. roughness ranges from 2.925 4.226 Comparatively, between 800 1,000 mm/s around 28 W would optimal choice, realize best balance quality efficiency.

Porous titanium implants are becoming an important tool in orthopedic clinical applications. This review provides a comprehensive survey of recent advances porous for use. First, the briefly describes characteristics bone and design requirements implants. Subsequently, pore size structural alloy materials presented, then we introduce application practice, including spine surgery, joint treatment tumors. Following that, describe surface modifications applied to obtain better biological functions. Finally, discuss incorporating environmental responsive mechanisms into achieve additional functionalities.

To improve high-temperature oxidation resistance for Ti6Al4V alloy, AlxCoCrCuyFeNi (x = 0, 0.3, 0.5, 0.7, 1.0; y 1.0, x + 1.0) high-entropy alloy (HEA) coatings were prepared on the substrate by a laser cladding technique. The results show that mainly composed of FCC, BCC, and Ti-rich phases. Severe segregation Cu element occurred in CoCrCuFeNi HEA as Cu-rich phase (FCC2). phases decreased with decreasing content completely disappeared until Al reached 1.0. microhardnesses Cu1.0, Cu0.7Al0.3, Cu0.5Al0.5, Cu0.3Al0.7, Al1.0 2.01, 2.06, 2.08, 2.09, 2.11 times substrate, compared those rates 55%, 51%, 47%, 42%, 35%, respectively. surface oxides five CuO, TiO2, Fe3O4, Cr2O3, Al2O3. increase promoted generation Al2O3 film Cr2O3 surfaces coatings, which significantly improved antioxidant performance 50 h at 800 °C. When coating showed best performance.
