Gastrointestinal dysmotility is a common cause of functional dyspepsia. As two kinds polysaccharides derived from brown algae, fucoidan and laminarin possess many physiological properties; however, their relative abilities in regulating gastrointestinal motility have not been illustrated yet. In this study, we aimed to investigate the regulatory effect on dyspepsia mice induced by loperamide. Mice with were treated (100 200 mg per kg bw) (50 100 bw). result, reversed dysfunction mainly through hormones (motilin ghrelin), cholinergic pathway, total bile acid level, c-kit protein expression, gastric smooth muscle contraction-related gene expression (ANO1 RYR3). Moreover, intervention modulated gut microbiota profile including altered richness Muribaculaceae, Lachnospiraceae, Streptococcus. The results indicated that may restore rhythm migrating motor complex regulate microecology. conclusion, provided evidence support might potential motility.

Abstract Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) is a heterogeneous condition characterized by steatosis, inflammation, consequent fibrosis, and cirrhosis. Chronic impairment of lipid metabolism closely related to oxidative stress, leading cellular lipotoxicity, mitochondrial dysfunction, endoplasmic reticulum stress. The detrimental effect stress usually accompanied changes in antioxidant defense mechanisms, with the alterations enzymes expression/activities during MASLD development progression reported many clinical experimental studies. This review will provide comprehensive overview present research on MASLD-induced catalytic activity expression main (superoxide dismutases, catalase, glutathione peroxidases, S-transferases, reductase, NAD(P)H:quinone oxidoreductase) level non-enzymatic glutathione. Furthermore, an therapeutic effects vitamin E be presented. Generally, at beginning development, expression/activity increases protect organisms against increased production reactive oxygen species. However, advanced stage MASLD, several antioxidants generally decreases due damage hepatic extrahepatic cells, which further exacerbates damage. Although results obtained patients, various animal or cell models have been inconsistent, taken together importance has clearly shown.
