Pregnant women are one of the endangered groups who need special attention in COVID-19 epidemic. We conducted a systematic review and summarised studies that reported adverse pregnancy outcomes pregnant with infection. A literature search was performed PubMed Scopus up to 1 September 2022, for retrieving original articles published English language assessing association between infection outcomes. Finally, this study, 1790 obtained initial search, 141 eligible including 1,843,278 were reviewed. also meta-analysis total 74 cohort case-control studies. Universal COVID-19 immunization is seen as a critical approach for limiting the spread of SARS-CoV-2 and reducing danger new variations emerging in general population, especially pregnant women. The literature accessible research data indicate that vaccination intentions vary greatly by country, with Romania ranking among European nations lowest rates. Thus, we aimed to investigate prevalence extent vaccine hesitancy women factors influencing their decision. A cross-sectional study was conducted on referred Obstetrics Gynecology Clinic Timisoara Municipal Emergency Hospital Romania. Participants were asked complete validated VAX scale about report willingness receive reasons hesitancy. group 184 who completed survey recorded significantly more hesitant respondents than non-pregnant 161 (52.2% vs. 40.3%). The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak which started in December rapidly developed into a global health concern. Pregnant women are susceptible to respiratory infections and can experience adverse outcomes. This systematic review meta-analysis compared pregnancy outcomes according COVID-19 status. MEDLINE, EMBASE, Cochrane Library databases were searched for relevant articles published between 1, 2019, October 19, 2022. Main inclusion criterion was any population-based, cross-sectional, cohort, or case-control study that assessed with without laboratory-confirmed COVID-19. Sixty-nine studies including 1,606,543 pregnant (39,716 [2.4%] diagnosed COVID-19) retrieved. Abstract To quantify transplacental transmission of SARS-CoV-2 virus and antibody transfer in pregnant women their newborns according to the gestational age at maternal infection. A prospective observational multicenter study including with a positive RT-PCR or serology for compatible symptoms, from April December 2020, 11 French maternities. In this systematic review and meta-analysis, we aimed to the characteristics outcomes of newborns Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) infected pregnant women. We conducted an online bibliographic search using following electronic databases: MEDLINE via PubMed, Scopus, Web Science, Cochrane Central. Studies were deemed eligible if they recruited from mothers with confirmed COVID-19 reported perinatal neonatal cases. A total 20 studies included. Neonates born positive results have been shown significantly lower birth weights (mean difference, MD = -48.54 g, p 0.04), increased risks fetal distress (odds ratio, OR 1.76, < 0.00001), respiratory (OR 1.96, 0.006), premature 2.08, death 2.20, 0.004), a 5-minute Apgar score 1.44, 0.02). Additionally, more likely be admitted intensive care unit (NICU) 2.25, 0.007) test for themselves 9.88, 0.03). However, other parameters, such as malformations, mechanical ventilation, hypoglycemia, sepsis, appeared comparable between two groups. Maternal infection during pregnancy is associated several outcomes, some which are adverse others that do not show significant deviation norms. While our meta-analysis clearly illustrates heightened birth, reduced weight, challenges, it also emphasizes all can directly attributed maternal SARS-CoV-2 infection.

Vaccination is the best means of reducing increased risk severe COVID-19 during pregnancy. Data on vaccine uptake among pregnant women in Ethiopia scarce. Thus, this study aimed to assess and associated factors women. An institution-based cross-sectional was conducted 634 attending antenatal care Debre Tabor public health institutions from March 14 30, 2022. Participants were recruited using a multistage sampling technique data collected via face-to-face interviews pre-tested structured questionnaire. Stata version 16.0 software used for analysis. ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate COVID‐19 infection during pregnancy as a risk factor for preterm labour. Methods Following institutional review board approval, single‐institution retrospective chart was conducted on 2760 patients, with 2397 meeting inclusion criteria. Pregnant women delivering after 20 weeks between 1 March 2020 and 31 December 2021 were included. Exclusion criteria included no documented COVID test, multifetal gestations, deliveries under or delivery at another institution. The primary outcome labour incidence among those COVID‐19, assessed by gestational age delivery. Statistical analyses chi‐squared tests, Fisher's exact tests two‐sample t ‐tests significance set p < 0.05. study had 80% power. Results Of 200 COVID‐positive, 2197 COVID‐negative. Preterm occurred in 12.0% of COVID‐positive cases versus 10.3% COVID‐negative ( = 0.523, RR 1.17, 95% CI 0.79–1.73), significant differences demographics other clinical factors groups. After adjusting patient (age, race parity) variables (gestational delivery, BMI, tobacco use, recreational drug pregestational diabetes, chronic hypertension, current diagnosis hypertensive disorders including pre‐eclampsia without severe features, STIs, PPROM, history prior pregnancies), not associated increased 0.532). Conclusion significantly These results help guide physician counselling address concerns regarding risks pregnancy.
