This study aimed to investigate the protective effects of vitamin B complex and alpha-lipoic acid (ALA) pre-treatments on hepatic ischemia–reperfusion injury (IRI) in rats, focusing their potential enhance antioxidant defense mechanisms reduce post-ischemic liver damage. Thirty male Wistar albino rats were divided into four groups: sham group (n = 10), IRI + ALA 10). In IRI, B, groups, underwent 45 min ischemia followed by 60 reperfusion. Serum levels aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine (ALT), urea, creatinine, lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) measured. Additionally, serum total status (TAS) oxidant (TOS) assessed, oxidative stress index (OSI) was calculated. Liver tissue samples collected for morphological evaluation. ALT, AST, creatinine LDH better compared with but difference statistically significant only (p < 0.05). The lowest TOS OSI reported groups these had significantly higher TAS Our findings suggest that a alone or combination reduces enhancing anti-oxidative status. low dose may be co-factor results studies larger doses are required determine its liver.

This study was designed to investigate the effects of vitamin D and mannitol in an experimental rat ovarian torsion model. Thirty-two female Wistar albino rats were randomly classified as group 1: (sham), 2: (detorsion), 3: (detorsion + mannitol), 4: D) 5: (for each n = 8). All groups subjected bilateral adnexal for 2 h except 1. Bilateral detorsion performed all Groups 3 5 intraperitoneally received injection at a dose 0.3 mg/kg 30 min before detorsion. Also, group’s 4 orally 500 IU/kg/day two weeks torsion. Total oxidant status (TOS), total antioxidant (TAS), oxidative stress index (OSI) proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) levels analyzed. According histopathological analyses, tissue damage follicle counting evaluated. TOS, OSI histopathologic score values significantly lower than 2, (p < 0.05). The PCNA level higher A strong negative correlation found between 3, (r −0.92, p 0.01; r −0.98, 0.0001; 0.0001 −0.96, 0.0002, respectively). numbers primordial follicles 0.001) primary when compared 2. Based on results this study, it could be suggested that combination treatment with is more effective reversing induced by ischemia–reperfusion (I/R) injury model administration only agent.

Objectives: Vitamin B complexes are frequently used in clinical practice for peripheral nerve trauma. However, there is a lack of scientific data on their effectiveness. This study aims to investigate the impact vitamin complex recovery rat model paralysis. Materials and Methods: Sixty male Wistar Albino rats were divided into six groups. Models injury, including blunt trauma, incision, autograft, performed all approximately 1 cm distal sciatic notch. B-complex vitamins injected intraperitoneally at 0.2 mL/day treatment The control groups given saline. After month, was terminated, electromyography (EMG) measure conduction velocity, tissue taken from repair line. function indexes (SFIs) calculated analyzed. histopathological samples stained with hematoxylin eosin Toluidine blue examined light microscope. Pathologically, myelination, fibrosis, edema, mast cell densities nervous evaluated. Results: demonstrated significant improvements SFI compared groups, indicating functional improvement damage (p < 0.05). In graft group, group showed shorter latency, higher larger peak-to-peak controls transection had better values than crush injury exhibited an improved Better less cells also Conclusions: significantly improves healing injuries. It enhances conduction, reduces promotes its therapeutic potential regeneration.

Background and Objectives: Neuroblastoma is the most common extracranial solid tumor in children, often presenting challenges treatment due to its clinical genetic heterogeneity. This study investigated anticancer potential of Pelargonium sidoides root extract on human neuroblastoma cell line (SH-SY5Y). Using XTT assays, ELISA-based oxidative stress markers, RT-PCR analysis apoptotic genes, explored extract’s effects proliferation, stress, apoptosis. Materials Methods: For culture, SH-SY5Y cells were thawed, cultured, maintained under appropriate conditions for experiments. The dose- time-dependent activity Pelorgonium was by assay. change marker 8-Hydroxy-2′-deoxyguanosine (8-OhDG) level determined ELISA doses applied control group at a concentration 25 μg/mL. Total antioxidant status (TAS) total oxidant (TOS) measured from with help commercial kit. index (OSI) calculated dividing TAS TOS multiplying 100. In order evaluate expression levels apoptosis-related Bax, Bcl-2, Caspase-3, Caspase-8, Caspase-9 genes mRNA dose cells, RNA isolation performed (IC50 value). Results: It observed that P. substance inhibits proliferation 24 h (p < 0.05). As increases, decreases IC50 value be 113.83 μg/mL h. 8-OhDG increased as result treated 0.01). OSI 0.001). BAX Caspase-8 are statistically significant Conclusions: induces apoptosis through mitochondrial- death receptor-mediated pathways. highlights complementary therapeutic agent neuroblastoma, warranting further vivo investigations assess safety efficacy.
