Nowadays, there is considerable attention toward the use of food waste from processing as possible sources compounds with health properties, such anticancer activity. An example tomato processing, which responsible for generating a remarkable amount (leaves, peel, seeds). Therefore, our goal was to evaluate potential property extracts, in particular "Datterino" (DT) and "Piccadilly" (PT), study their phytochemical composition. Liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC/MS-MS) results showed that these extracts are rich alkaloids, flavonoids, fatty acids, lipids, terpenes. Furthermore, activity evaluated vitro by MTT assay. In particular, percentage cell viability assessed olfactory ensheathing cells (OECs), glial type system, SH-SY5Y, neuroblastoma line. All (aqueous ethanolic) did not lead any significant change on OECs when compared control. Instead, SH-SY5Y we observed decrease viability, confirming activity; this more evident ethanolic extracts. conclusion, leaves could be regarded valuable source bioactive compounds, suitable various applications food, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical fields.

In recent years, the sustainability of cosmetic products has received growing interest from industry and consumers due to recommendation implementation circular economy European Green Deal. The sustainable development strategy takes into account reduction waste energy consumption, covers all processes producing using cosmetics, starting method obtaining raw materials, through process cosmetics bulk, selection packaging. Particularly, materials a large impact on emulsion. One way resource recovery is use agro-food by-products discarded produce because most them possess value-added bioactive compounds, such as enzymes nutrients with high functionality. Their may be performed by more extraction processes, leading natural oils, extracts, polymers, phytosterols, vitamins, minerals, unsaturated fatty acids. A relatively new innovative form designing bioavailable fermentation, where bioferments are obtained plant-based food materials. addition, optimization emulsification applying low-energy methods crucial step in cosmetics. This allows not only carbon footprint, but also preservation valuable properties used following paper discusses creating emulsions energy-saving procedures fermentation process.

Antimicrobial resistance is a global threat. On the other hand, Bangladesh produces high-quality mangoes, yet mango coat and seed kernel, which contain medicinal components, remain unused. Therefore, this study investigated antibacterial potential toxicity of ethanol extracts from ( Mangifera indica ) kernels, specifically target bacterial strains Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus cereus, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella sp. Amrapali variant seeds were collected, dried, ground into fine powder, extracted with at various ratios. The efficacy crude extract was tested via disc diffusion method. results demonstrated significant activity against gram-positive bacteria S. aureus B. cereus ), clear zones inhibition observed, especially in dose-dependent manner. pure inhibited growth zone 23 mm, identical to that produced by doxycycline. However, exhibited limited gram-negative E. coli sp.). Additionally, effective multidrug-resistant . 22.5 mm , slightly smaller than gentamicin (23 mm) but larger those chloramphenicol (21 mm), vancomycin (20 tetracycline (16 mm). In vivo assessed mice, revealing no adverse effects on hepatic structure or renal cortex lower doses (100 μl extract). higher caused mild histopathological changes liver kidneys. These findings suggest kernel holds promise as an alternative agent, particularly antibiotic-resistant bacteria, while being relatively safe doses. Further research needed elucidate active compounds, mechanisms action, broader applications combating infections.

Bitter orange is a citrus fruit rich in bioactive compounds, but its waste currently underutilized. One potential solution to encapsulate these compounds. This research aims synthesize gelatin nanoparticles loaded with an ethanolic extract of bitter peel and evaluate their vitro antioxidant antibacterial activities. Coaxial electrospray was used the bovine as wall material, considering voltage 15 kV, flow rate 0.1 mL/h, core 0.08 mL/h. Characterization performed using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR). Antioxidant activity evaluated by total phenolic content, flavonoids, capacity DPPH•, ABTS•+, FRAP assays. Antibacterial assessed well diffusion technique on Mueller–Hinton agar against Listeria monocytogenes Escherichia coli O157:H7 bacteria. SEM images confirmed that were spherical shape, while FT-IR analysis indicated incorporation did not alter amide bonds protein. The containing exhibited higher heightened inhibition E. O157:H7, indicating food applications.
