Panax notoginseng is a prominent traditional Chinese medicinal herb, yet its yield and quality are significantly constrained by continuous cropping obstacles, primarily stemming from soil-related issues. This study analyzed soils subjected to various degrees of P. cultivation, without planting, natural forest floor soil planting. The objective was investigate variations in microbial communities, physicochemical properties, enzyme activities across different conditions. Macro-genome sequencing employed reveal shifts key factors influencing rhizosphere communities. Notably, the exhibited highest levels organic matter, carbon, total nitrogen, available potassium. Furthermore, showed pH, phosphorus, electrical conductivity, catalase, urease, acid phosphatase, sucrase, FDA hydrolase decreased after cropping, but increased again five years fallowing. Microbial analysis revealed that Bacteroidetes, Firmicutes, Chloroflexi dominated whereas Proteobacteria, Actinobacteria, Acidobacteria were predominant phyla soils. Continuous led an increase Acidobacteria, Gemmatimonadetes, Chloroflexi, while fallowing reduced Actinobacteria. Gemmatimonades almost exclusively present Overall, planting altered nutrients composition. Intercropping has the function of promoting plant growth, improving yield and quality. Platycodon grandiflorus (P. grandiflorus) is a traditional Chinese medicinal herb; continuous cropping obstacles significantly inhibit its However, few study have established about P. interaction various crops. We conducted field experiment, monoculture (JG-JG), Achyranthes bidentata (JG-NX), Saposhnikovia divaricata (JG-FF), Glehnia littoralis (JG-SS) intercropping. Additionally, we included three main crops with grandiflorus, Zea mays (JG-YM), Setaria italica (JG-GZ), Glycine max (JG-DD). The physicochemical properties, enzyme activity, microorganisms, secondary metabolite content in roots were determined. results showed that increased reduced incidence rate root rot. system enhances physical chemical properties soil, microbial diversity. JG-SS abundance bacteria fungi, stimulated communities, promoted platycodin D, enhanced complexity co-occurrence networks. could provide sustainable planting for cultivation particularly JG-SS. Soil bacteria are crucial components of terrestrial ecosystems, playing an important role in soil biogeochemical cycles. Although bacterial community diversity and composition regulated by many abiotic biotic factors, how physiochemical properties impact the wetland ecosystems remains largely unknown. In this study, we used high-throughput sequencing technology to investigate a community, as well structural equation modeling (SEM) method relationships soil's physicochemical (i.e., pH, organic carbon (SOC), total nitrogen (TN), ammonium (NH4+N), electrical conductivity (EC) nitrate (NO3-N)), structures three typical sites Sanjiang Plain wetland. Our results showed that significantly changed α β-diversity communities, e.g., TN, NH4+N, NO3-N, SOC were main factors affecting α-diversity. The TN pH key community. suggest changes indirectly affect communities altering nitrogenous nutrient content.

Abstract Continuous cultivation of tobacco could cause serious soil health problems, which bacterial to change fungal soil.
