Information on the detection of presence and potential for degradation synthetic polymers (SPs) under various environmental conditions is increasing interest concern to a wide range specialists. Various processes designed for the humification (HF) of animal husbandry wastes, primarily bird droppings, reduce their volumes, solve environmental problems, and make it possible to obtain products with artificially formed humic substances (HSs) as analogues natural HSs, usually extracted from fossil sources (coal peat). This review studies main characteristics various biological physicochemical methods HF wastes (composting, anaerobic digestion, pyrolysis, hydrothermal carbonation, acid or alkaline hydrolysis, subcritical water extraction). A comparative analysis rates HS yields in these processes, resulting artificial HSs (humification index, polymerization degree aromaticity, etc.) was carried out. Enhanced polysaccharide production through quorum sensing system in Cordyceps militaris DOI

This study aimed to enhance extracellular polysaccharide (EPS) production in Cordyceps militaris by constructing a quorum sensing (QS) system regulate the expression of biosynthetic enzyme genes, including phosphoglucomutase, hexokinase, phosphomannomutase, synthase, and UDP-glucose 4-epimerase genes. The found higher EPS concentrations seven recombinant strains compared wild-type C. militaris, indicating that overexpression key genes increased production. Among them, CM-pgm-2 strain exhibited highest production, reaching concentration 3.82 ± 0.26 g/L, which was 1.52 times than amount produced wild strain. Additionally, regulatory effects aromatic amino acids on QS were investigated. Under influence 45 mg/L tryptophan, reached 4.75 0.20 representing 1.90-fold increase strains. provided an effective method for large-scale EPSs opened up new avenues research into fungal mechanisms.
