At weaning, piglets are exposed to a large variety of stressors, from environmental/behavioral factors nutritional stress. Weaning transition affects the gastrointestinal tract especially, resulting in specific disturbances at level intestinal morphology, barrier function and integrity, mucosal immunity gut microbiota. All these alterations associated with inflammation, oxidative stress perturbation intracellular signaling pathways. The management weaning period aims achieve reinforcement integrity functioning positively modulate that microbiota enhance health status piglets. That is why current research focused on raw materials rich phytochemicals which could animal health. composition analysis fruit, vegetable their by-products showed identified act as bioactive compounds, can be used modulators weaning-induced This review describes studies investigated effects compounds derived fruit (apple) vegetables (carrot) or architecture function, inflammatory processes level. Data pathways modulation by also presented.
