Macrophage-mediated inflammation plays essential roles in multiple-organ injury. Sinensetin (SNS) at least exhibits anti-inflammation, antioxidant, and antitumor properties. However, the underlying mechanism of SNS-targeted macrophage-mediated remains elusive. In present study, our results showed that SNS suppressed lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced to ameliorate lung liver injuries. Mechanistically, significantly inhibited M1-type macrophage polarization its NLRP3 inflammasome formation decrease tumor necrosis factor α (TNFα) IL-6 expression, while increasing IL-10 expression. Moreover, interacted activated SIRT1 promote NRF2 target gene SOD2 transcription, which subsequently decreased LPS-induced inflammation. knockdown impaired effects on inhibition polarization, formation, NRF2/SOD2 signaling. Composition and Antioxidative and Antibacterial Activities of the Essential Oil from Farfugium japonicum DOI Creative Commons

The composition of volatile oils the leaf and stem Farfugium japonicum (L.) Kitamura were prepared by supercritical fluid extraction (SFE)-CO2. A total 47 40 compounds identified GC/MS analysis, respectively, only 13 coexisted. main constituent types in oil included alcohols (34.1%), hydrocarbons (24.1%), terpenoids (16.2%), benzenes (7.5%), fatty acids (4.9%). In oil, chiefly (18.8%), ketones (13.9%), (17.0%), (8.8%), phenolics (8.7%), steroids (8.6%), (8.0%), esters (5.7%). predominant 2-(1-cyclopent-1-enyl-1-methylethyl) cyclopentanone (11.7%), 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8-octahydro- 9,10-dimethyl-anthracene (8.4%), 5-heptylresorcinol (6.5%), α-sitosterol (5.2%). Those mainly (E)-3-hexen-1-ol (13.7%) (Z)-3-hexen-1-ol (14.0%). This demonstrated a significant difference both oils. A cytokine storm (CS) is a rapidly occurring, complex, and highly lethal systemic acute inflammatory response induced by pathogens other factors. Currently, no clinical therapeutic drugs are available with significant effect minimal side effects. Given the pathogenesis of CS, natural products have become important resources for bioactive agents in discovery anti-CS drugs.
