Introduction: Natural products are a rich source of antioxidants, effective on immunological disorders. The present study was planned to evaluate the antioxidant activity ethanolic extract root bark an Indian medicinal plant, Eugenia jambolana, by in vitro methods and immunomodulatory vivo methods. Methods: collected E. jambolana (EJE) prepared tested for using concentrations 10-50 µg/mL through 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) free radical superoxide anion scavenging assays. Further, effects EJE were assessed animal studies against experimental antigen, sheep RBC, oral administration at doses 100, 200, 400 mg/kg, measuring its impact antibody titer values antigen-antibody reaction paw thickness mice (delayed-type hypersensitivity [DTH] study) humoral cell-mediated immune responses, respectively. Results: exhibited properties DPPH radicals with IC50 43.79 ± 0.24 47.64 0.18 respective studies. mg/kg dose demonstrated significant (P<0.05) value DTH response These showed that produced 29.36% 39.06% immunity studies, Conclusion: experiments this potential bark.

This review explores the synergistic potential of natural products and nanotechnology for viral infections, highlighting key antiviral, immunomodulatory, antioxidant properties to combat pandemics caused by highly infectious viruses. These often result in severe public health crises, particularly affecting vulnerable populations due respiratory complications increased mortality rates. A cytokine storm is initiated when an overload pro-inflammatory cytokines chemokines released, leading a systemic inflammatory response. Viral mutations limited availability effective drugs, vaccines, therapies contribute continuous transmission virus. The coronavirus disease-19 (COVID-19) pandemic has sparked renewed interest product-derived antivirals. efficacy traditional medicines against infections examined. Their anti-inflammatory, are highlighted. discusses how enhances herbal combating infections.

This study aimed to identify chemical compounds derived from Vassobia breviflora methanolic extract using ESI-ToF-MS and their antioxidant potential activity utilizing the following methods: total phenols, DPPH, ABTS•+. The MTT assay measured cytotoxic activity, while DCFH-DA nitric oxide assays were employed determine reactive oxygen species (ROS) nitrogen (RNS) levels African green monkey kidney (VERO) human keratinocyte (HaCat) cell lines. minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) bactericidal (MBC) assessed in seven clinical isolates nine ATCC strains. Biofilm inhibition was tested against four biofilm-forming properties of identified as follows: 35.74 mg GAE/g (gallic acid equivalents)/g for 10.5 µg/ml 50.68 µmol trolox/µg mean (IC50) values 622.86 784.33 (HaCat). These concentrations did not markedly alter ROS RNS. Conversely, Bacillus cereus β-hemolytic displayed higher sensitivity extract, with MIC 64 MBC 128 µg/ml. Enterococcus faecium exhibited lowest biofilm formation among bacteria. studied plant all bacterial strains at lower than IC50 VERO HaCat cells, suggesting future studies. Data present a comprehensive molecular docking analysis HlyIIR protein (PDB ID: 2FX0) determined antimicrobial endocrine-modulating potentials. Notably, lancifodilactone I nicandrin B demonstrated strongest binding affinities, energies -9.8 kcal/mol -8.3 kcal/mol, respectively, significant effects B. cereus. In addition, several showed interactions nuclear receptors, indicating effects. findings provide insights into developing target-specific therapies agents.

The rising prevalence of infectious diseases and immune-related disorders underscores the need for effective accessible therapeutic solutions. Herbal immunostimulants derived from medicinal plants offer promising alternatives, enhancing immune responses with lower toxicity fewer side effects than synthetic drugs. This review explores immunostimulatory potential Morinda citrifolia, Echinacea purpurea, Phyllanthus niruri, focusing on their bioactive compounds, mechanisms action, relevance. These modulate innate adaptive by activating macrophages, dendritic cells, lymphocytes while regulating cytokine production to maintain homeostasis. Their immunomodulatory are linked key signaling pathways, including NF-κB, MAPK, JAK/STAT. In vitro in vivo studies highlight strengthen control inflammation, making them candidates managing diseases. However, further research is needed standardize formulations, determine optimal dosages, validate safety efficacy clinical settings. Addressing these gaps will support integration herbal into evidence-based healthcare as sustainable immune-enhancing strategies.

Background Legacy media are publications that existed before the internet. Many of these have migrated to a web format, either replacing or in parallel their print issues. Readers place an economic value on access information presented as they pay for subscriptions and higher degree trust content. Much has been written about inaccurate misleading health social media; however, content accuracy contained legacy not examined detail. Discussion herbs, spices, other botanicals absent from this context. Objective The objectives study were (1) identify associations botanical products mentioned targeted range demographic groups (2) evaluate against published scientific studies. Methods In total, 10 popular magazines targeting gender, race/ethnicity, sexual orientation selected analysis. Relevant was extracted coded over 1 year. Associations between specific factors identified. For most frequent botanical–health application associations, PubMed search conducted reviews corresponding each item’s indicated applications. Where no systematic available, single research studies sought. Results A total 237 unique There 128 mentions issues 1215 websites. 18 applications identified used categorize uses various individually general categories. frequently skin care, with 913 mentions, immunity enhancement, 705 gastrointestinal probiotics, 184 cognitive function (stress mental health), 106 mentions. Comparison literature evaluating efficacy functions positive support aloe vera, argan oil, chamomile, jojoba lavender, rosemary, tea tree oil care. Berries, ginger, turmeric, green had strongest evidence role enhancement. Ginger oats supported having health. Finally, berries, ashwagandha, cannabidiol managing stress. Other items such mushrooms less strongly supported. Conclusions prevalent indicates that, overall, consistent current reports products. While some greater than others, truly egregious falsehoods absent. Therefore, may be considered credible source readers topics.
