Obesity is one of the most dangerous epidemics 21st century. In 2019, COVID-19 pandemic began and caused many deaths among patients with obesity without complications. Simultaneously, lockdown related to a host emotional problems including anxiety, depression, sleep disturbances. Many people cope their emotions by increasing food (emotional eating) alcohol consumption in combination decreased physical activity, promoted development overweight obesity. The COVID-19 pandemic is undoubtedly a major threat to the world. preventive strategies designed minimize virus transmission by remaining at home, being isolated, and keeping social distance, which would substantially reform people's lifestyle, physical activity, eating habits, etc. Consequently, those measures might create disturbance in weight management overweight. Therefore, how has changed activities of individuals its impacts on Body Mass Index (BMI) explored herein.An online-based cross-sectional study collected data from 338 Bangladeshi adults November 2020. questionnaire included socio-demographics, health-related variables, activity-related diet measurement. Inferential statistics (i.e., chi-square test, McNemar test) were used measure associations between BMI studied variables with consideration two scenarios ('before' 'during' inception), where p<0.05 was considered statistically significant.Results showed that prevalence overweight 30.5% 'before' pandemic, increased 34.9% pandemic; means 4.4% participants significantly gained after inception. Background Coronavirus (COVID-19) has severely impacted lifestyles worldwide. Responses to COVID-19 have intentionally restricted the factors that encourage regular and frequent PA; opportunity, capability motivation.
