Background: Coronary artery disease (CAD) is a cardiovascular with significant personal health and socioeconomic consequences. The biological functions of decanoic acid the pathogenesis CAD overlap considerably; however, studies exploring their relationship are limited. Methods: Data from 34,186 Americans National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2003 to 2018 were analyzed. between dietary (DDA) prevalence was explored using weighted multivariate logistic regression models, generalized summation fitted smoothing curves. Stratified analyses interaction tests conducted explore potential modifiers them. Results: DDA negatively associated prevalence, each 1 g/d increase in being 21% reduction (odds ratio (OR) 0.79, 95% confidence interval (CI) 0.61–1.02). This persisted after log10 trinomial transformations, respectively. OR transformation 0.81 (95% CI 0.69–0.96), for tertile 3 compared 0.83 0.69–1.00). subgroup found this be among males non-Hispanic white individuals, there (interaction p-values 0.011 0.012, respectively). Conclusions: CAD, both sex race may modify relationship.

In recent years, although life expectancy has increased significantly, non-communicable diseases (NCDs) continue to pose a significant threat the health of global population. Therefore, eating habits have been recognized as key modifiable factors that influence people’s and well-being. For this reason, it is interesting study dietary patterns, since human diet complex mixture macronutrients, micronutrients, bioactive compounds, can modulate multiple physiological processes, including immune function, metabolism, inflammation. To ensure data we acquired were current relevant, searched primary secondary sources, scientific journals, bibliographic indexes, databases in last 15 years with most relevant articles. After search, observed all research on NCDs suggests critical factor shaping an individual’s outcomes. Thus, cardiovascular, metabolic, mental, dental, visual depends largely intake, nutritional behaviors. A high processed refined foods, added sugars, saturated fats increase risk developing chronic diseases. On other hand, rich whole, nutrient-dense such vegetables, fruits, nuts, legumes, adherence Mediterranean improve health’s people.

Cancer is amenable to low-cost treatments, given that it has a significant metabolic component, which can be affected through diet and lifestyle change at minimal cost. The Warburg hypothesis states cancer cells have an altered cell metabolism towards anaerobic glycolysis. Given this reprogramming in cells, possible target cancers metabolically by depriving them of glucose. In addition dietary modifications work on tumors metabolically, there are panoply nutritional supplements repurposed drugs associated with prevention better treatment outcomes. In this cross-sectional investigation, the primary objective was to explore correlation between consumption of polyphenols and likelihood non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) in adult population participating Hoveyzeh cohort. Data from cohort study, part Persian Cohort Study, involving 10,009 adults aged 35-70, were analyzed. Exclusions made for missing data, extreme energy intake, cancer patients. Dietary habits assessed using a food frequency questionnaire, polyphenol intake calculated Phenol Explorer database. Logistic regression analyses, adjusted confounders, performed assess relationship subclasses (total polyphenols, total flavonoids, phenolic acid, lignin) NAFLD. Among 9894 participants, those highest quintile (OR 0.65, CI 0.5-0.84; P = 0.007), acid 0.67, 0.52-0.86; < 0.001), lignin 0.69, 0.52-0.87; 0.001) demonstrated lower odds NAFLD compared lowest quintile, even after adjusting confounding factors. However, no significant association found flavonoid 1.26, 0.96-1.67; 0.47). Subgroup analysis indicated inverse women 0.64, 0.42-0.93; 0.001). Abstract Background This study sought to examine the impact of magnesium supplementation on clinical outcomes and biochemical factors among hospitalized patients with COVID-19. Methods double-blind, randomized trial was conducted at Razi Hospital, Ahvaz, Iran, between September 2021 March 2022. Participants aged 18–70 years moderate disease severity were enrolled. Magnesium (300 mg daily) administered intervention group, while control group received a placebo. Clinical outcomes, including need for oxygen therapy, saturation, respiratory rate, fever, hs-CRP TNF-α levels, as well quality life mental health, assessed. Blood samples collected measure variables. Results The main result count individuals requiring therapy. Additional comprised health. Out 64 participants, 60 completed study. results showed that significantly reduced number therapy (9 vs. 14; P < 0.001). Moreover, demonstrated improved saturation compared (4.55 ± 2.35 1.8 1.67; Furthermore, we observed noteworthy enhancement in depression score group. No significant differences hs-CRP, levels ( > 0.05). Conclusion findings suggest may have beneficial effects arterial COVID-19 patients. More investigation is necessary delve into its potential mechanisms long-term patient outcomes. Trial registration registered Iranian Registry Trials (IRCT) under identifier IRCT20210413050957N1. For many years, it has been clear that a Western diet rich in saturated fats and sugars promotes an inflammatory environment predisposing person to chronic cardiometabolic diseases. In parallel, the emergence of ketogenic diets, deprived carbohydrates promoting synthesis ketone bodies imitating metabolic effects fasting, shown provide possible nutritional solution alleviating diseases triggered by environment. The main body, β-hydroxybutyrate (BHB), acts as alternative fuel, also substrate for novel histone post-translational modification, β-hydroxybutyrylation. β-hydroxybutyrylation influences state chromatin architecture transcription multiple genes. The ketogenic diet is known to be a possible adjuvant treatment in several medical conditions, such as patients with severe or drug-resistant forms of epilepsy. Its use has recently been increasing among adolescents and young adults due its supposed weight-loss effect, mediated by lipolysis lowered insulin levels. Dietary habits evaluated different indexes food frequency questionnaires, finally, semen by measuring sperm concentration motility (progressive non-progressive). six (60%) articles, positive relationship adherence demonstrated; two (20%) no association found; dietary patterns typical DM evaluated. quality. Adherence can improve male health, as it antioxidant anti-inflammatory effects. This first about quality, results are positive.
