This study investigated the status of children with obesity before and after COVID-19 pandemic, effects lifestyle guidance on weight loss among in Japan. We analysed data patients who visited our hospital check-ups for evaluated efficacy guidance. The were divided into groups A, B, C (year 2011, 2019, 2021, respectively). There no differences body weight, index (OI), blood pressure, or alanine transaminase (ALT) levels between groups; however, aspartate (AST) level was highest Group C. In C, only OI increased primary secondary screenings; mass (BMI) improved during second screening more group followed OI/BMI did not change over past decade; short-term gain significant owing to simple effective reducing weight. Future challenges include identifying methods achieve long-term loss.

Abstract Background Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is a contagious caused by the severe acute new coronavirus called SARS-CoV-2. Objective This study aimed investigate determine determinants of obesity during pandemic from 2019 2023. Methods Observational studies published between December January 2023 were thoroughly searched using PRISMA flow chart. PubMed, Google Scholar, Web Science, HINARI, Scopus, Embase databases used. Two reviewers independently identified critically evaluated relevant literature. Studies that reported weight gain or involved BMI measurements 25 kg/m2 z-scores for children COVID-19 lockdown selected inclusion. The Newcastle–Ottawa Scale (NOS) was used as quality assessment instrument in nonrandomised evaluate quality. All contributing increase identified, gathered, synthesised. Results systematic review 40 with total population 5,681,813 22 countries, which 74.6% male. sample size included articles ranged 37 5,315,435. Of articles, 24 focused on adults, five adolescents, three children, eight adolescents. Conclusion During pandemic, physical poor patterns most common factors obesity. Additionally, unhealthy low mood, age, gender, have been pandemic.

Background/Objectives: The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the lifestyles of children and adolescents because restrictions imposed to contain infection. This systematic review examined possible reduction in children’s adolescents’ physical activity changes their BMI weight status. Methods: A (PROSPERO: CRD42024589208) English-language studies published up 1 October 2024 individuals with a mean age between 6 18 years that investigated data before during or after focused on status according age, sex, country making use PubMed, Web Science, Scopus, identified 1040 articles. Partindo debates sobre definição agendas, este artigo tem o objetivo analisar como se manifestou agenda simbólica nas questões relacionadas aos priorizadas pelos do Brasil, Chile Colômbia, partir conteúdos Facebook publicados ao longo 2020. Em termos metodológicos, propôs-se mapeamento das postagens, seleção daquelas à COVID-19, análise classificação em categorias. Abstract Several studies have argued that the COVID-19 pandemic could be a catalyst for building sustainable food systems. Among actors involved in this debate, we emphasize significance of agriculture ministries shaping governmental agendas and policies. Childhood obesity is a complex disease with multiple biological and psychosocial risk factors. Recently, novel digital programs were developed growing evidence for their effectiveness in pediatric weight management studies. The ENDORSE platform consists of mobile applications, wearables, serious games the remote childhood obesity. pilot studies included 50 mothers children aged 6–14 years resulted clinically significant BMI z-score reduction over 4 to 5 months. This secondary analysis study focuses on parenting styles Methodology: Semi-structured clinical interviews conducted all participating pre-and post-intervention. Abstract Context The COVID-19 pandemic has had a global impact on food security and nutrition, both in the short long term. influence school-age children, adolescents, young adults may be particularly significant long-lasting. Objective This systematic review meta-analysis aimed to quantify of dietary habits among worldwide. Data Sources PubMed, Web Science, Embase were searched from inception October 5, 2023. Extraction We included observational studies published English that reported quality scores intake quantities during before adults. total 22 cohort 20 cross-sectional high or moderate quality. Analysis conducted meta-analysis, expressing as standardized mean differences (SMD) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs). For low heterogeneity, we used fixed-effects model; otherwise, applied random-effects model. Newcastle–Ottawa Scale was employed by 2 reviewers independently evaluate methodological analysis indicated that, overall, juice increased (SMD = 0.12, CI: 0.04 0.20), while alcohol consumption reduced −0.28, −0.47 −0.08). However, age-stratified results varied. Among fruit, dairy products, sugar, increased. Adolescents showed an increase meal frequency vegetable intake. Young carbohydrate intakes, protein product intakes increased, based limited studies. Conclusion Dietary changes children mixed, behavior adolescents tended more positive. Considering lasting effects negative behaviors, attention should given addressing sugar intakes.
