Background Following the identification of proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 (PCSK9) inhibitors, research in this area has experienced significant growth. However, a thorough bibliometric analysis burgeoning field remains conspicuously absent. The current study aims to delineate hotspots and anticipate future trends on PCSK9 inhibitors employing analysis. Methods A systematic search was conducted Web Science Core Collection (WoSCC) identify scholarly articles reviews pertaining yielding 1,812 documents. The production of olive oil has important economic repercussions in Mediterranean countries but also a considerable impact on the environment. This generates enormous quantities waste and by-products, which can be exploited as new raw materials to obtain innovative ingredients therefore make more sustainable. In previous study, we decided foster seeds by generating two protein hydrolysates using food-grade enzymes, alcalase (AH) papain (PH). These have shown, both vitro at cellular level, antioxidant antidiabetic activities, being able inhibit activity DPP-IV enzyme modulate secretion GLP-1. Given multifunctional behavior peptides, displayed dual hypocholesterolemic activity, inhibiting HMGCoAR impairing PPI PCSK9/LDLR, with an IC50 equal 0.61 mg/mL 0.31 for AH PH, respectively. Furthermore, samples restored LDLR levels membrane human hepatic HepG2 cells, increasing uptake LDL from extracellular Since intestinal bioavailability is key component bioactive second objective this work evaluate capacity PH peptides transported differentiated Caco-2 cells. cells been analyzed mass spectrometry analysis, identifying mixture stable that may represent qualities development nutraceuticals functional foods delay onset metabolic syndrome, promoting principles environmental sustainability.

Atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease poses a significant global health issue, with dyslipidemia standing out as major risk factor. In recent decades, lipid-lowering therapies have evolved significantly, statins emerging the cornerstone treatment. These interventions play crucial role in both primary and secondary prevention by effectively reducing through lipid profile enhancements. Beyond their effects, extensive research indicates that these exhibit pleiotropic actions, offering additional benefits. include anti-inflammatory properties, improvements vascular glucose metabolism, potential implications cancer management. While ezetimibe been extensively studied, newer agents also demonstrate similar even absence of direct This narrative review explores diverse properties lipid-modifying therapies, emphasizing non-lipid effects contribute to burden exploring benefits for non-cardiovascular conditions. Mechanistic insights into actions are discussed alongside therapeutic implications.
