Diabetic wound healing remains a significant challenge due to complex pathological mechanisms, including prolonged inflammation, excessive reactive oxygen species (ROS) accumulation, angiogenesis dysfunction, and increased susceptibility bacterial infection. In this study, we developed dual ROS/glucose-responsive quercetin-loaded supramolecular hydrogel (GPQ hydrogel) for treating diabetic wounds. The was fabricated by incorporating quercetin (QUE) into guanosine–phenylboronic acid (GP) network through dynamic borate ester bonds. Structural characterization revealed the formation of typical G-quadruplex structure in GPQ hydrogel. responsiveness ROS glucose enabled controlled release QUE, effectively addressing abnormal microenvironment diabetes. vitro studies demonstrated excellent antibacterial, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, pro-angiogenic properties Furthermore, vivo study using full-thickness model streptozotocin-induced rats showed that significantly accelerated closure, enhanced re-epithelialization collagen deposition, promoted compared control GP groups. Immunofluorescence analysis confirmed superior antioxidant effects microenvironment. This presents promising multifunctional biomaterial managing

Jumli Marshi (J. Marshi) , a native rice cultivar in Nepal, is gaining popularity owing to its health benefits for obesity, hypertension, and diabetes. However, scientific evidence verifying therapeutic potential lacking until November 2024. Therefore, we aimed characterize the phytoconstituents evaluate antioxidant, antibacterial, antidiabetic properties of J. Marshi, along with ADME toxicity profile, using both vitro silico approaches. Liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry analysis 70% methanol extract from identified ten plant-based compounds, including phenolic acids, flavonoids, γ-oryzanol. The exhibited significant antioxidant properties, neutralizing DPPH free radicals fifty-percentage inhibitory concentration (IC 50 ) 42.65 ± 3.9 µg/mL, compared ascorbic acid’s IC 4.12 0.7 µg/mL. It also showed antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus zone inhibition (ZOI) ranging 7 11 mm minimum (MIC) 1.56 mg/mL, standard antibiotics meropenem (ZOI: 24 1.6 mm; MIC: mg/mL). enzymatic assay demonstrated that inhibits fifty percent enzyme at (EC > 1000 µg/mL α -amylase 250 2.5 -glucosidase, contrast acarbose, exhibiting an EC 35.5 1.5 189.5 1.9 -glucosidase. In docking studies revealed strong interactions target protein catalytic residues, particularly gamma-oryzanol (−10.0 kcal/mol) chlorogenic acid -glucosidase (−7.7 kcal/mol), acarbose (−6.9 −7.1 kcal/mol). suggested tricin had best drug-likeness safety profiles. High sodium intake is a major risk factor for hypertension and renal diseases. Previous studies have shown that suspension of ethanolic extract Psidium guajava (guava) leaves (PsE) has antihypertensive effects in rats on high-sodium diet (HSD), but some mechanisms to remain unexplored. This study explored whether oral PsE treatment affects handling by the intestine alters gut microbiome HSD-fed rats.
