Forests are challenging workplace environments with rugged and steep terrains large danger zones obscured by dense forest stands. Additionally, there often restrictions on mobile communication networks, the Internet, or Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) reception. Therefore, technologies supporting detection of people in have not been broadly applied forestry. During field test, two prototypes enabling via ultra-wideband (UWB) Bluetooth low energy (BLE) were evaluated. The precision, accuracy, distance, rates determined. Furthermore, influence line sight, that is, visual path between points, was considered. With an overall Distance Bias 0.44 m RMSE 1.52 m, UWB sensor allowed precise within zones, 30 (mean 28.4 m; 90% CI: 22.33–30.00 m) 50 43.9 36.81–49.63 m); therefore, it is well suited for use during felling a chainsaw. BLE presence even at greater distances 83.66 62.45–103.05 would be suitable fully mechanized timber harvesting. However, sensors still lack ability to determine distances.

Abstract This article introduces a new basis for optimising cable corridor layouts in timber extraction on steep terrain by using digital twin of forest. Traditional approaches generating rely less accurate contour maps, which can lead to infeasible supports, undermining confidence the generated layouts. We present detailed simulational approach uses high-resolution tree maps and models compute realistic representations all possible corridors given terrain. applied established methods forestry feasible designated area, including rope deflection, determining sufficient anchors placing intermediate supports where necessary. The proposed individual trajectories form foundation an optimised overall layout that enables reduction installation operation costs promotes sustainable practices As next step we aim mathematically optimise based multiple criteria (cost, ergonomic aspects, ecological aspects), integrate results into user-friendly workflow.

China has developed its own “CDM”, i.e., the Certified Emission Reduction (CCER) scheme. International carbon organizations and individuals are interested in CCER mechanism. We searched “CCER” web of science and, unfortunately, found no previously published studies that provide a detailed description CCER, especially forestry projects. This paper reviews history, development, current status introduced components program, including methodology system, registration trading DOEs. In addition, we further development process, project design, validation registration, implementation, monitoring, emission reduction accounting, verification, registration. Recommendations proposed, expanding methodologies, incorporating advanced technologies, optimizing monitoring frameworks, pursuing international collaboration. study provides policy technical guidance for sustainable China’s forest market.
