This rapid review critically evaluates the impact of climate change on Saudi Arabia, elucidating its adaptive measures and ensuing global ramifications. Using a structured framework, we conducted exhaustive database searches spanning 2010–2023, focusing articles pertinent to Arabia’s adaptation disaster readiness. Through rigorous dual-reviewer process, data was systematically synthesized. Our findings reveal that Arabia confronts pressing water scarcity issues, particularly highlighted by surge in desalination dependence, which presents both sustainability adaptability challenges. To transform urban areas into smart cities, various technologies—including software, user interfaces, communication networks, and the Internet of Things (IoT)—must tackle complex sustainability resilience issues.
