The global 2030 Agenda covers a range of interconnected issues which need interdisciplinary and holistic approaches to improve human well-being protect the natural environment. COVID-19 pandemic has brought light critical inequities in society policy gaps health services. As highlighted through analyses interlinkages among Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), connections between environment, can help support new needs addressing systemic crises, including widespread pandemics. We identify links crisis multiple SDGs context Brazil based on review current literature sector.Findings: We synergistic 88 out 169 SDG targets COVID-19, notably around themes such as City Environment, Contextual Policies value created by improved Information Technology. Using Brazilian National Health Service (SUS) highlights recurrent interconnections from focal point target 3.8. This includes topics challenges for universal healthcare coverage, budget allocation, universalisation. The framework developed supporting policy-making decisions design toolkits dealing with future health-related emergency scenarios offers practical solution sector. It is worth noting that progress action public systems policies must go hand existing socio-economic vulnerabilities society. vital tackling pandemics simultaneously SDGs.

Abstract This paper critically examines the concept of sustainable development, particularly in context urban challenges exacerbated by COVID‐19 pandemic. Although development has been around for more than three decades, it faces ongoing global socio‐environmental crises that have rapid spread since 2019, which highlighted vulnerability and interconnected cities. Our approach includes a comparative literature review to analyze evolution critique focusing on its conceptual foundations, complementary strategies, political‐economic implications. The addresses implications COVID‐19, emphasizing direct impact Sustainable Development Goals arguing comprehensive reassessment practices. We propose transformative agenda recognizes local specificities draws cities' experiences during pandemic build equitable crisis‐resilient society. research highlights urgency rethink current paradigms, especially light human‐environment imbalance lessons learned from crisis. It calls reformed incorporates dimensions experience cities address inequalities crisis‐prone structures our societies, with aim fundamental shift toward future post‐COVID‐19 era.

Abstract The persistent increase in atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) concentration poses a significant contemporary challenge. Contemporary chemistry is heavily focused on sustainable solutions, particularly the photo‐/electrocatalytic reduction of CO and its utilization for energy storage. Despite promising prospects, efficient chemical conversion faces obstacles such as ineffective uptake/activation catalyst mass transport. Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) have emerged potential catalysts due to their precise structural design, functionalizable environments, robust architectures. COF‐based materials, especially those incorporating diverse active sites like single metal sites, nanoparticles, oxides, hold promise This review sheds light photoreduction/electroreduction storage Li‐CO batteries catalyzed by composites, focusing recent advancements integrating COFs with nanoparticles reduction. It discusses design principles, synthesis methods, catalytic mechanisms driving enhanced performance nanocomposites across various applications, including electrochemical reduction, photocatalysis, lithium batteries. also addresses challenges prospects utilization, aiming steer development innovative nanocomposites, thus advancing technologies environmental stewardship. © 2024 Society Chemical Industry John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
