The COVID-19 pandemic has increased the workload of health personnel in Indonesia, and risk burnout thus doubled. Several instruments exist to assess burnout, but none have been specifically developed for during pandemic. Therefore, close this gap, developing a Pandemic Burnout Inventory is important. This study used mixed methods with sequential exploratory design at five referral hospitals. A total 30 informants were employed qualitative phase, selected using an intensity sampling approach, 731 respondents quantitative phase obtained field trials online questionnaires. Finally, was formed 14 items. content validity, based on expert judgment, showed very good results. assessment item discrimination construct validity concurrent reliability instrument fairly In general, meets criteria according psychometrics: it objective, standard, valid, practical. Although existing literature has examined little attention been given spatio-temporal characteristics within a city. Focusing on stay-at-home recommendation during in Hong Kong, this study employed road speed as proxy investigate fatigue. Temporally, development and concerns are investigated. Spatially, variables four categories (i.e. socioeconomic, home environment, land use COVID-related) examined. Despite same level NPIs, changes traffic were observed, indicating A positive correlation between NPIs interest 'living COVID' policy is found. areas more older people demonstrated high rate. Findings suggest that by using for potential factors both spatial temporal dimensions can be unveiled. Policy implications future health crises also discussed.

Abstract Pandemic fatigue is a growing public health concern of the lingering COVID-19 pandemic. Despite its widespread mass media coverage, systematic empirical investigations are scarce. Under Hong Kong Jockey Club SMART Family-Link Project, we conducted online and telephone surveys amid pandemic in February to March 2021 assess self-reported (range 0–10) adults ( N = 4726) associations with sociodemographic psycho-behavioral (high vs low moderate) variables. Data were weighted by sex, age, education general population. Binary logistic regression models yielded adjusted odds ratios (aORs) for high (score ≥ 7) 43.7% reported fatigue. It was less common older people (55–64 years: aOR 0.56, 95% CI 0.39–0.82; 65 + 0.33, 0.21–0.52) versus age group 18–24 years, but more those tertiary (1.36, 1.15–1.62) secondary or below. High positively associated depressive symptoms (aOR 1.83, 1.55–2.17), anxiety (1.87, 1.58–2.20), loneliness (1.75, 1.32–2.31), personal fear (2.61, 2.12–3.23), family (2.03, 1.67–2.47), current alcohol use (1.16, 1.00–1.33), negatively self-rated (0.79, 0.68–0.92), happiness (0.63, 0.55–0.72), adversity coping capability (0.71, 0.63–0.81), 0.69–0.90), well-being (0.84, 0.73–0.97), communication quality (0.86, 0.75–0.98), frequent home exercise (0.82, 0.69–0.96; frequent). We first used single-item tool measure fatigue, showing that it worse mental health, lower levels use.

Research on the pandemic-related burnout has focused work-related especially among healthcare workers, but not in general population. To develop a valid and reliable instrument scale to measure population. We took several steps items achieve content face validity; literature review, panel of experts, calculation validity ratio, cognitive interviews. We assessed structural construct validity, reliability COVID-19 (COVID-19-BS).Exploratory confirmatory factor analysis identified three factors for COVID-19-BS; emotional exhaustion, physical exhaustion due measures against COVID-19. Cronbach's alpha coefficients COVID-19-BS ranged from 0.860 0.921. Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin value was 0.945, p-value Bartlett test <0.001. A significant positive correlation between anxiety depression indicated high concurrent validity. Cohen's kappa 0.848 0.957, while intraclass 0.888 0.997.Our findings indicate that final 3-factor model with 13 is brief, easy administer, assessing COVID-19-related public.

This two-wave, region-wide, longitudinal study included 796 adult participants residing in mainland China. Participants completed online surveys at two time points COVID-19 pandemic. Time 1 (T1) survey was conducted when number new infected cases China stabilized, while 2 (T2) 5 months later there sudden surge cases. Results hierarchical regression analysis revealed that interaction main effects T2 showed significant incremental prediction depression anxiety T2, after controlling for demographic as well individual T1. These results supported hypotheses current functions protective factor, whereas risk factor mental health successive waves outbreaks. In particular, mitigated negative impact high on T2.
