Abstract Digital transformation (DT), board characteristics, and green technology innovation (GI) have a substantial impact on corporate sustainability. However, there are seemingly conflicting conclusions about how DT affects an enterprise's GI performance, few studies considered the moderating effect of characteristics. We aim to explore characteristics correlation between GI, using sample 1470 listed companies in China employing fixed‐effects model. Our results suggest that significantly enhances enterprises' performance; indirectly promotes performance enterprises by increasing their R&D investments, optimizing human capital structure, enhancing management efficiency. Additionally, gender diversity, size, educational level positively moderate relationship whereas will be blunted age diversity. great value promote realize sustainable development.

Based on 38,891 news items from provincial municipal governments in China, this paper uses text analysis depict government’s attention economy explore influencing transformation. Purpose This study aims to examine the impact of China's “Manufacturing and Internet Integration Development Pilot Demonstration Project” (MIP) policy on digital transformation (DT) labor structure optimization (LSU) manufacturing enterprises, reveal relationship between DT LSU at micro level investigate mechanism them. Design/methodology/approach employs MIP as a quasi-natural experiment develops time-varying difference-in-difference (DID) model based sample 2,445 Chinese A-share listed enterprises in Shanghai Shenzhen markets from 2013 2021. Findings The implementation significantly increases by 0.4366 optimizes 0.0507. By enhancing two mediated variables organizational learning inputs (SI) employees' personal cognition (PDC), can optimize pilot 0.035 0.034, according results analysis. also reveals that is highly heterogeneous.
