The globe is at a crossroads in terms of the urban heat island effect, with rising surface temperatures due to urbanization and an expanding built environment. This cause-and-effect connection may be linked weather-related dangers, natural disasters, disease outbreaks. Urbanization industrialization will not lead secure sustainable future. Finding solutions problems such as effect forefront scientific research policy development. Sustainable ways decrease impacts are core principle for planners. literature study examines benefits adding green infrastructure materials built-up areas reduce effect. Materials reflective street pavements, coating including light-colored paint, phase-change materials, color-changing fluorescence energy-efficient appliances considered whereas like roofs, walls, parking shaded streets mitigate hurdles widespread adoption practices include lack governmental legislation, insufficient technological development, erroneous estimation economic gains, unwillingness on part impacted parties.

Saudi Arabia (SA) faces a water shortage, and it further challenges sustainable agriculture, industrial development the well-being of people. SA uses more than 80% its resources for agricultural purposes. Groundwater extractions account most this demand, which is not sustainable. Hence, study aims to analyze management practices used in propose viable workable solutions achieve scarce resources. This based on critical evaluation information available sector SA. About 89% demand Kingdom non-sustainably met through over-pumping from groundwater 9.3% by energy-intensive desalination. invested dams developed rainwater harvesting enhance surface availability increase recharge capacity renewable aquifers. Existing wastewater treatment systems face a number of significant challenges, including aging infrastructure, climate change, emerging pollutants, and higher consumption energy due to population growth. In order solve these issues, comprehensive long-term water management strategies are required. This study describes pathogen-free solution for that uses effective microorganisms (EM) technology improve quality index in an on-site experimentation area. The physical chemical characteristics were examined using the American Public Health Association (APHA) standard procedures compared world health organization (WHO) standards. implementation EM resulted pH, total suspension solids (TSS), dissolved (TDS), biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), phosphorus levels shifting (after 105 days) below WHO limits 7.30, 48.00, 1114.00, 43.00, 4.36 mg/L, respectively. O G decreased from 10.9 mg/L 3.1 while values (COD) Total Kjeldahl Nitrogen 242 45.8 Lead mercury detection limits. found > 99% reduction plate count fecal coliform as well no detectable E. coli final effluent after days application. offers sustainable, eco-friendly treatment, controlling microbial organic pollution loads. approach addressing microbiological physicochemical aspects is both cost-effective method restoring freshwater ecosystems.

In this study, we evaluate the degradation by Sargassum spp. as a consortium in 2020 and 2021, species during collected at different distances from coastline land deposits. The year 2021 had largest leachate volume offshore site with highest (60 mL/day) among five sites of collection. relation to species’ generation, S. fluitans reached 47.67 mL/day its peak, which is earlier than natans (41.67 14 days after fluitans). pH shows alkaline behavior EC reflects saline condition leachate, reaching values 7.5 8.3 80 150 mS/cm EC; results do not show significant differences sites, or between species. Despite BOD/COD ratio less 0.1, process occurs evidenced presence leachate. confirm existence variability production composition under influence factors such periodicity, collection, proportions Thus, even though these emphasize knowing limitations generation crucial information for decision making on storage environmental management.
