Abstract Artificial intelligence (AI) as a disruptive technology is not new. However, its recent evolution, engineered by technological transformation, big data analytics, and quantum computing, produces conversational generative AI (CGAI/GenAI) human‐like chatbots that disrupt conventional operations methods in different fields. This study investigates the scientific landscape of CGAI human–chatbot interaction/collaboration evaluates use cases, benefits, challenges, policy implications for multidisciplinary education allied industry operations. The publications trend showed just 4% ( n = 75) occurred during 2006–2018, while 2019–2023 experienced astronomical growth 1763 or 96%). prominent cases (e.g., ChatGPT) teaching, learning, research activities computer science (multidisciplinary AI; 32%), medical/healthcare (17%), engineering (7%), business fields (6%). intellectual structure shows strong collaboration among eminent sources business, information systems, other areas. thematic highlights including improved user experience human–computer interaction, programs/code generation, systems creation. Abstract Artificial intelligence models, like ChatGPT, have the potential to revolutionize higher education when implemented properly. This study aimed investigate factors influencing university students’ attitudes and usage of ChatGPT in Arab countries. The survey instrument “TAME-ChatGPT” was administered 2240 participants from Iraq, Kuwait, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan. Of those, 46.8% heard 52.6% used it before study. results indicated that a positive attitude were determined by ease use, towards technology, social influence, perceived usefulness, behavioral/cognitive influences, low risks, anxiety. Confirmatory factor analysis adequacy constructs. Multivariate demonstrated significantly influenced country residence, age, type, recent academic performance. validated as useful tool for assessing adoption among students. successful integration relies on elements, anxiety, minimal risks. This study aimed to provide an in-depth understanding of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) students' perceptions concerning both the benefits and limitations Artificial Intelligence (AI) in context critical thinking. Utilizing qualitative research design that focuses on case studies employs semi-structured interviews, seven master's degree students from two different Indonesian universities were purposively selected for sample. The findings revealed complex view thinking involves questioning norms, analyzing context, evaluating evidence. Students acknowledged AI's utility enriching various facets thinking, such academic theory scrutiny. However, concerns also raised about limitations, including lack personalization, potential echo chambers, difficulties nuanced understanding. concludes AI can be asset development skills, but with caveats require careful management. A balanced approach capitalizes strengths while being aware its is necessary cultivating robust abilities among EFL students. Limitations include reliance self-reported data, which may introduce biases, heterogeneity participants' backgrounds, affecting generalizability. The rise of Artificial Intelligence in educational contexts has sparked both excitement and trepidation, highlighting the urgent need to investigate its implications, especially English Language Teaching. In light this context, study aimed find out how language teachers perceive pedagogical benefits challenges posed by ChatGPT when incorporated into ELT identify potential avenues for such digital innovations. Adopting a qualitative research design, data were purposively collected distributing an open-ended questionnaire 46 from multiple countries.
