Environmental policy stringency, eco-innovation, and green finance play key roles in advancing sustainability, particularly low- middle-income countries such as Pakistan. Using annual data from 1990 to 2020, this study employs a quantile autoregressive distributed lag (QARDL) approach explore the effects across different quantiles. The results reveal generally negative, quantile-specific relationship between eco-innovation ecological footprints. At lower quantiles, 1% increase is associated with reduction footprints ranging 4%, demonstrating beneficial, albeit asymmetric, relationship. As quantiles increase, effect of strengthens, reductions reaching up 7% at higher Furthermore, stringent environmental policies show more pronounced impact where stringency leads 5% 8%. These findings underscore significance robust policies, effective mechanisms for reducing impacts promoting sustainability. This provides valuable insights policymakers strategize on enhancing investments financing implementing regulations, targeting industries sectors substantial impacts. Such measures can effectively mitigate degradation by adopting encouraging sustainable practices, especially areas provoking acute pressures.

This paper examines the complex interplay between environmental management (EM) and decarbonization, highlighting how these domains can be seamlessly integrated to create a comprehensive framework for sustainable futures in energy sector. The emphasizes adoption of green technologies, efficiency measures, innovative carbon capture, utilization, storage (CCUS) technologies infrastructures. Central this approach are circular economy principles, low-greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions production processes, CCUS strategies. A conceptual model EM–decarbonization nexus, comprising six enablers, was developed illustrated with practical examples from various countries regions worldwide. findings reveal significant progress advancing EM decarbonization efforts. However, additional support governments private sector is imperative areas such as research development, equitable transfer renewable infrastructure transitions, systems, financing mechanisms, public education community outreach, public–private partnerships, international cooperation, active engagement global organizations, deployment digital solutions. By addressing areas, future realized.

Introduction: Facing the problem that it is difficult to reconcile development and carbon reduction in energy sector, this study explores impact mechanism of storage industry on low-carbon economy from perspective trilemma. Methods: Using a moderated two-mediation model data 275 cities China, differences mechanisms different regions China. Results: This draws following conclusions: first, can promote green by facilitating technical support new industries. Second, financial regulate effect mediating role. Third, contribution significantly higher northern region than southern due mechanisms. Discussion: The results provide an effective path for developing countries balance sector development, security, low-carbon.

The importance of energy for the growth and development any country cannot be overemphasized considering attendant effect inflow foreign direct investment (FDI) into concerned. This study thus, explores impact economic factors chiefly FDI, unemployment rate (UNF), inflation (INF), exchange (EXR) GDP on hydropower production (HDP) in Nigeria. data used this encompasses a quantitative between year 1970 2023 leading to 54 observations. applied analytical methods include those normality test, correlation, cross dependency, unit root test Ordinary Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). result indicates that with regression coefficient −0.245 Pr (0.827) GDP, 0.0609 (1.40) INF, −0.655 (.390) UNF, −0.523 (0.458) it shows aforementioned variables does not have HDP. However, regressor value −0.040 (0.000) EXR, posits only has HDP period under review. concluded structural relationship Nigeria while other inflation, FDI do historically level recommended controlling is crucial maintaining growth. Failure so might lead decrease productive capacity hydropower. Also, can benefit from increased regional global collaboration, which includes trade agreements cross-border infrastructure efforts enhance connectivity promote integration.
