In today’s volatile global market, supply chain performance is vital for maintaining business success, especially in Jordan, where companies face regulatory limitations, import dependence, and political uncertainty. The purpose of this study to assess how strategic elements within chains contribute outcomes whether their impact varies by firm size industry. A cross-sectional survey was conducted between September December 2024 targeting firms across key economic sectors. Using a stratified sampling method, 366 (152 small, 114 medium, 100 large enterprises) manufacturing, retail, pharmaceuticals, other industries were selected. This sample chosen ensure diversity structure resource capacity, making it suitable examining size- sector-specific effects. Data analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling multi-group analysis. Results show that actions significantly influence performance: internal collaboration enhances external partnerships (β = 0.42, p 0.002), which increase responsiveness 0.44, 0.001) resilience 0.41, 0.002). Larger benefit more from structured coordination diversified sourcing 0.50, 0.001), while SMEs limitations due constraints. Pharmaceutical the strongest sector-based results 0.54, findings highlight universal strategies are ineffective. Customization industry essential building agility long-term success.

With the development of smart logistics industry, demand for intelligent loading and unloading (ILU) within urban supply chains (USCs) is increasing. However, few studies have examined critical success factors (CSFs) enhancing ILU in USCs. This study establishes a CSF model to support improvement. Specifically, it integrates stakeholder theory, resource-based view innovation diffusion theory. Through research conducted collaboration with 16 industry specialists Korea, 19 were identified. Fuzzy DEMATEL Adversarial Interpretive Structure Model (AISM) then applied analyze identified factors. The results indicate that collaboration, government support, regulatory compliance are most important affecting improvement Finally, cross-impact matrix multiplication classification (MICMAC) analysis further verifies these high driving power low dependence, making them independent entire system. Furthermore, this emphasizes role market automated system design. work contributes knowledge on management chains.
