(PFAS)
are
ubiquitous
environmental
contaminants,
with
perfluorooctanoic
acid
(PFOA)
being
a
prominent
member.
PFOA
poses
risk
to
aquatic
ecosystems

health
due
its
presence
in
water,
persistence,
bioaccumulation.
Since
rodlet
cells
(RCs)
have
emerged
as
potential
biomarkers
for
chemical
stressors,
this
study
aimed
investigate
the
effects
of
sub-chronic
exposure
on
RCs
renal
hematopoietic
tissue
common
carp.
Three
groups
fish
were
used:
an
unexposed
control
group
two
exposed
environmentally
relevant
(200
ng
L−1)
elevated

mg
concentrations.
