Abstract The extensive use of bisphenols in the plastics industry globally is a major growing concern for human health. Bisphenol compounds are easily leached out from plastic containers to food, beverages, and drinking water contaminate natural environment. Daily exposure bisphenol increases their load impairs various organs, including reproductive system. directly or indirectly affect ovarian functions, such as folliculogenesis, steroidogenesis, oogenesis, thereby oocyte quality. A (BPA) its structural analogues act endocrine disruptors induce generation reactive oxygen species (ROS) within ovary. Excess levels ROS death pathways follicular steroidogenic cells steroidogenesis. reduced level estradiol-17β growth development that reduces number quality oocytes. In addition, excess fluid trigger meiotic instability, which further deteriorates high generates oxidative stress triggers germ well oocytes, induces atresia, depletes reserve. Although evidence indicates destructive effects at ovary, potential underlying mechanisms deteriorate remain poorly understood. Therefore, this review summarizes by cause damage impair quality, women's fertility.

The female reproductive system can face serious disorders and show abnormalities under the influence of environmental pollutants. Microplastics (MPs) nanoplastics (NPs) as emerging pollutants, by affecting different components this system, may make fertility a challenge. Animal studies have demonstrated that exposure to these substances weakens function ovaries causes decrease in ovarian reserve capacity. Also, continuous micro/nano plastics (MNPs) leads increased levels reactive oxygen species, induction oxidative stress, inflammatory responses, apoptosis granulosa cells, reduction number follicles. Furthermore, interfering with hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian axis, particles disturb normal androgens endocrine balance delay growth gonads. Exposure MNPs accelerate carcinogenesis humans animal models. determined accumulate placenta, causing metabolic changes, disrupting development fetus, endangering health future generations. In humans, presence micro/nanoplastics placenta tissue, infant feces, breast milk has been reported. These directly affect mother increasing risk premature birth other pregnancy complications. This review aims outline hazardous effects on fetal discuss results experiments human research focusing cellular molecular pathways.

Hydrogen sulfide (H2S), previously regarded as a toxic exhaust and atmospheric pollutant, has emerged the third gaseous signaling molecule following nitric oxide (NO) carbon monoxide (CO). Recent research revealed significant biological effects of H2S in variety systems, such nervous, cardiovascular, digestive systems. Additionally, been found to impact reproductive system function may have therapeutic implications for disorders. This paper explores relationship between male disorders, specifically erectile dysfunction, prostate cancer, infertility, testicular damage. it examines regulation on pathophysiology female system, including improvements preterm birth, endometriosis, pre-eclampsia, fetal growth restriction, unexplained recurrent spontaneous abortion, placental oxidative damage, embryo implantation, recovery myometrium post-delivery, ovulation. The study delves into regulatory functions within systems both genders, its NO/cGMP pathway, activation K+ channels, relaxation mechanism spongy smooth muscle through ROCK aiming broaden scope potential strategies treating disorders clinical settings.

Abstract Wastewater-based epidemiology (WBE) is a powerful tool to gather epidemiological insights at the community level, providing objective data on population exposure harmful substances. A considerable portion of human these potentially chemicals occurs unintentionally, unlike substances such as pharmaceuticals, illicit drugs, or alcohol. In this context, comprehensive review analyzes WBE studies focused classes organic which humans are unintentionally exposed, namely organophosphorus flame retardants, per- and polyfluoroalkyl (PFAS), benzotriazoles benzothiazoles, phthalates terephthalates, benzophenones, pesticides, bisphenols, parabens. The highlights some advantages for public health surveillance, e.g., non-invasive analysis, predictive capability, nearly real-time data, population-wide insights, no ethical approval, unbiased sampling. It also discusses challenges future research directions in regarding from various sources. emphasizes critical role wastewater sampling, sample preparation, quality control, instrumental analysis achieving accurate reliable results. Furthermore, it examines selection biomarkers explores strategies link with biomonitoring (HBM), together enhance both precision effectiveness assessments.

Background: Plastic pollution driven by human activities has become a critical global issue for health. A growing literature demonstrates that micro- and nanoplastics (MNPs) contain endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) other harmful compounds enter the body easily, acting as agonists or antagonists wide range of hormonal receptors, promoting endocrine toxicity. Endocrine disruption induced MNPs occurs through aberrant activation/inhibition different signaling pathways in addition to directly interfering with balances, trigger apoptosis, oxidative stress, inflammation cells. However, date, molecular mechanisms these contaminants remain not completely elucidated. Furthermore, given unanimous consensus on negative impact health, several methodologies have been developed detect only environment but also biological fluids tissues. Results: This review comprehensively summarizes emerging experimental clinical evidence explaining underlying toxicity related chronic plastic relation system. In addition, illustrates new methodological approaches samples, highlighting employing complementary methods enables precise characterization quantification MNPs. Conclusions: Future studies experimental, epidemiological, epigenetic, multi-omics are essential understanding short long-term effects glands developing effective strategies mitigate their
