Based on a circular economy approach, we evaluated the possible effect of targeted supplementation with leftover feed from dairy cows (i.e., intensive system) reproductive performance crossbred/rangeland goats extensive in arid Northern Mexico. During deep-anestrous season March-April, 25° North), multiparous (n = 38) similar body weight (BW) and condition score (BCS) were randomly assigned to two groups: (1) supplemented group (SG; n 19; BCS: 1.76 ± 0.07; BW: 43.7 1.8 kg), receiving 400 g goat d-1 dairy-cow-feed leftovers prior grazing; (2) non-supplemented (NS; 0.06; 44.3 2.5 kg). Both groups directed rangeland for period ≈8 h. While experimental lasted 36 d, breeding considered 11 d (d0-d10). The anovulatory status was ultrasonographically confirmed days -20, -10, -1 male-female interaction. Previously, bucks separated 3 weeks females received exogenous testosterone every third day 50 mg i.m.) mating. With respect response variables, namely BW, BCS, blood glucose levels (BGLs), estrus induction (GIE, %), latency (LTE, h), duration (ED, luteal tissue volume (LTV, mm), no differences (p > 0.05) occurred between groups. However, ovulating (GO, %; 78.9 vs. 47.3), total number corpuses luteum (TNCL, n; 27 13), ovulation rate (OR, 1.42 0.73), multiple (MO, 73.3 55.5), pregnancy (PRd36, %, 68.4 36.8), favored < SG over NS goats. Our results demonstrate that connecting circularity divergent ruminant production systems cow-intensive goat-extensive) by using cows' as strategy anestrous under marginal-rangeland system enhanced out-of-season outcomes rate), thus benefiting marginal producers their families.

Aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) exists widely in feed and food with severe hazards, posing a serious threat to human animal health. Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) glutathione (GSH) have been reported as having anti-oxidative other functions. The present study aimed investigate the detoxification effect of EGCG GSH alone or combination on AFB1 exposure ducklings. Fifty one-day-old male ducklings were randomly assigned into five experimental groups (n = 10): 1. Control (CTR); 2. 0.3 mg/kg BW (AFB1); 3. + 100 (AFB1 EGCG); 4. 30 GSH); 5. GSH). experiment lasted for seven days. Compared CTR group, reduced growth performance, total serum protein albumin content, increased enzyme activity (alanine aminotransferase, aspartate alkaline phosphatase, γ-glutamyl transpeptidase), caused pathological damage ducklings' livers. malondialdehyde content decreased superoxide dismutase, antioxidant capacity, catalase, peroxidase activities, liver. mitigated these adverse effects. Meanwhile, attenuate apoptosis hepatocytes, regulated AFB1-induced changes abundance genes contained Keap1/Nrf2 signalling apoptotic pathways. Collectively, results suggest that alleviate hepatocyte injury induced by inhibiting oxidative stress attenuating excessive mitochondria-mediated apoptosis.

The objective of this study was to determine the effect high-concentrate diets on blood parameters and liver transcriptome goats. Eighteen goats were allocated into three dietary treatments: high level concentrate (HC) group, medium (MC) low (LC) group. pathological damage gastrointestinal tract tissues measured. In hepatic portal vein blood, HC showed higher LPS, VFAs, LA; in jugular no significant differences LA recorded among groups (p > 0.05). Compared LC MC groups, group significantly increased interleukin (IL)-1β, IL-10, TNF-α, diamine oxidase < Liver analysis discovered a total 1269 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) most them came from vs. There 333 DEGs up-regulated 608 down-regulated compared gene ontology enrichment that these mainly focused regulation triacylglycerol catabolism, lipoprotein particle remodeling, cholesterol transport. Kyoto Encyclopedia Genes Genomes pathway revealed enhanced metabolism nutrients such as VFAs through activation AMPK other signaling pathways clearance detoxification LPS by activating toll-like receptor pathway. A diet (HCD) can promote digestion nutrients; enhances adaptability an HCD regulating expression involved nutrient toxin clearance.

This study was conducted to evaluate the influences of supplementing Ampelopsis grossedentata flavonoids (AGF) on rumen bacterial microbiome, plasma physiology and biochemistry, growth performance goats. Twenty-four Nubian kids were randomly allocated three dietary treatments: control (CON, basal diet), 1.0 g/kg AGF treatment (AGF), 12.5 mg/kg monensin (MN). trial consisted 10 days for adaptation 90 data sample collection. The results reveal that Bacteroidetes, Firmicutes, Proteobacteria are dominant phyla in kids’ rumen. Compared with CON group, alpha diversity MN groups significantly increased (p < 0.01). Beta-diversity shows microbial composition is more similar groups. LEfSe analysis Prevotella_1 group higher than those group. high-density lipoprotein cholesterol glucose levels 0.05), whereas low-density cholesterol, glutamic-pyruvic transaminase, alkaline phosphatase exhibited opposite trend. average daily gains increased, while feed-to-gain ratios decreased 0.05). suggest adding diet improves has important implications studying juvenile livestock improving economic benefits.

Calculating the requirements and predicting feed digestibility are essential to building robust dairy cattle rationing programmes. In field, a huge number of in vivo observations needed develop accurate equations reliable predictions. The aim this study was an equation estimate total-tract potentially digestible NDF (TTpdNDFD) for lactating cows fed hay-based rations. Individual data from 11 studies, 69 cows, 35 different treatments, 1 614 were included study. To prediction equation, following traits, descriptors total mixed ration, used: ash, starch, CP, NDF, acid detergent fibre, lignin, undegradable potential degradable NDF. Before with bidirectional stepwise selection JMP software, outliers removed multicollinearity checked all predictors fibre digestibility. model trained 10-folds cross-validation. Results showed R
