The SARS-CoV-2 outbreak has provoked more than 6 million deaths worldwide. scarcity of effective treatments and its virulence converted the vaccines into an essential tool to face it. most used were mRNA, adenovirus vector, inactivated whole-virus. However, nowadays, infants aged < months are not eligible for any against COVID-19, their immunization relies on passive immunity. In this research, we investigated humoral cellular immune response generated newborns vaccinated mothers with mRNA or viral vector (VV) vaccine employing Fourier transformed infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy in saliva samples. For purpose, samples collected; population was divided two groups, VV which subdivided three subgroups: before pregnancy (BP), at first (FTP) second (STP) trimesters pregnancy. analyzed using FTIR spectroscopy, bands associated responses, such as IgG, IgA, IFN-γ analyzed. integrated areas calculated compared elucidate quantity those immunoglobins cytokine. Pregnant women are a highly vaccine-resistant population and face unique circumstances that complicate vaccine decision-making. also at increased risk of adverse maternal neonatal outcomes to many vaccine-preventable diseases. Several models have been proposed describe factors informing hesitancy acceptance. However, none these existing applicable the complex decision-making involved with acceptance during pregnancy. We propose model for in pregnancy incorporates following key factors: (1) perceived information sufficiency regarding vaccination risks pregnancy, (2) harm avoidance protect fetus, (3) relationship healthcare provider, (4) benefits vaccination, (5) disease susceptibility severity In addition factors, availability research on safety social determinants health, structural barriers access, prior acceptance, trust system play roles As final step, pregnant individual must balance themselves their which adds greater complexity decision. Our represents first step synthesizing by women, who represent high infectious

COVID-19 vaccination is vital for ending the pandemic, yet safety concerns persist among pregnant and postpartum women, especially those who are Black Hispanic. This study aims to explore factors that influence women's decision-making during pregnancy through lived experiences maternal care providers' (MCPs) observations. From January August 2022, we conducted semi-structured interviews with women Hispanic MCPs. Participants were recruited from obstetric pediatric clinics in South Carolina had given birth 2021. Thematic analysis was employed data analysis. The involved 19 20 along 9 MCPs, revealed both barriers facilitators vaccination. decision about vaccine uptake included: 1) awareness of health threats associated vaccines, 2) availability accessibility, 3) vaccine-related knowledge exposure misinformation, 4) regarding pre-existing conditions potential side effects 5) emotional processes, 6) well-being infants, 7) cultural perspectives, 8) encouragement by trusted supporters. findings suggest reliable information, social support, MCPs' advice can motivate However, such as mistrust system, fears impede uptake. Future interventions should address these barriers, consider disparities, involve initiate conversations vaccines promote populations.
