The global fight against the COVID-19 pandemic has underscored critical importance of widespread vaccination to mitigate impact virus on public health. current study aimed investigate which social influences might be most important for predicting attitudes towards and vaccine uptake among young students in UK. We focused cultural evolution transmission aspects, i.e., parent-to-child versus peer-to-peer, during pandemic. A sample 192 UK (aged 18 35 years old) filled an online survey including measures and/or intention, age, gender. Participants were also asked about their mother’s, father’s, best friend’s uptake. Finally, they provided a subjective measure quality relationship with parents. Overall, our results suggest that both parents very close friends are agents understanding students’ More specifically, findings mother’s as salient predictor uptake, particularly when report having positive In cases where experience negative parents, may supersede influence. Despite these nuances, general trend emerges from data suggesting could primarily guided by vertical (i.e., parent child). Our have potential influence health strategies, communication campaigns, targeted interventions enhance Identifying key predictors can enable policymakers authorities tailor promotion efforts mothers’ peers’ increase overall people.

Abstract Vaccine hesitancy remains a significant public health challenge globally, requiring innovative, evidence‐based approaches to improve uptake. This systematic review and meta‐analysis evaluated the effectiveness of stage‐of‐change (SOC)‐tailored interventions, customized strategies based on an individual's readiness for behavioral changes, in promoting vaccination Data were synthesized from randomized controlled trials (RCTs), quasi‐experimental, non‐experimental studies identified through MEDLINE, PubMed, Web Science, Embase, Global Health, APA PsycInfo databases. Five eligible published between 2004 2023 included, with three RCTs one quasi‐experimental study contributing meta‐analysis. The pooled standard mean difference (SMD) uptake was 0.54 (95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.49, 0.59, p < .001), indicating medium effect size no heterogeneity ( I 2 = 0%, .88). Subgroup analyses showed SOC‐tailored interventions particularly effective older adults (SMD 0.57, 95% CI: 0.22 0.92, .03) parents or caregivers increase children's 0.53, 0.32 0.74, .02). These findings provided preliminary evidence addressing vaccine hesitancy. Future research should explore geographically diverse settings cost‐effective delivery methods maximize impact.

Abstract We aimed to investigate the willingness of hospital staff receive COVID-19 vaccine and explore associated factors reasons hesitancy among Chinese staff, which were not yet known. A cross-sectional questionnaire survey was conducted online on in a grade tertiary general Beijing from February 22 23, 2023. Univariate multivariate logistic regression used assess associations between potential influencing hesitancy. total 3269 valid respondents included, rate 32.67%. Multivariate showed that women [1.50 (1.22–1.83)], having high-school education level [1.69 (1.04–2.76)], college degree [2.24 (1.35–3.72)] or graduate [2.31 (1.33–4.03)], underlying disease [1.41 (1.12–1.77)] with higher The main for included doubts safety effectiveness worries adverse reactions. Hospital staff's vaccinate is generally high study. Hospitals should spread knowledge through multiple channels improve cognition encourage vaccination based factors.

Purpose This paper examines how U.S. consumer intentions to adopt hemp vary across product types using the theory of planned behavior (TPB). Design/methodology/approach Data were collected via an online survey residents in 2022 (n = 1,948). Two-step structural equation modeling is used examine TPB constructs and background factors influence intent use five different hemp-based products: cannabidiol (CBD), clothing, food, personal care products, pet products. are analyzed R. Findings Positive attitudes towards all categories products increase probability adoption, while subjective norm perceived behavioral control have limited varied significant models. There is limited evolving literature on COVID-19 vaccine uptake and its barriers among sexual minority populations (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer [LGBTQ]), despite their increased risk factors. We assessed the differences in intention to receive by self-reported likelihood of contracting COVID-19, anxiety/depression, discrimination frequency, social distancing stress, sociodemographic factors across orientation. An online national cross-sectional survey was conducted United States between 13 May 2021, 9 January 2022, adults aged ≥18 (n = 5404). Sexual individuals had a lower receiving (65.62%) than heterosexual (67.56%). Disaggregation orientation, however, showed that gay participants higher vaccination (80.41%) lesbian (62.63%), bisexual (64.08%), non-heterosexual, non-LGB (56.34%) respondents intentions respondents. orientation significantly moderated association perceived anxiety/depression symptoms, discrimination. Our findings further underline importance improving efforts access other vulnerable groups.

Participants were recruited in United States through online platforms Prolific Google Forms. final sample was n = 232 (n 99 male, 129 female, 2 other, Mage 31). Outcome measures included sociodemographic questions, Zimbardo Inventory—short version, Consequences (CFC) ultra-short scale, Conspiracy Beliefs questionnaire, Santa Clara Strength Religious Faith Questionnaire—brief version. Regression analyses revealed that reduced by gender identification woman, multiracial or from mixed origin, Deviation BTP belief faith. Conversely, to vaccinate against increased CFC-I, CFC-F. Vaccine programs significantly reduce disease burden within a population. The COVID-19 vaccine facilitated return to "normal"; however, coverage remains below target levels. Identifying predictors of uptake is vital for individual and community health. present study used the Reasoned Action Approach integrated hazard-specific risk perception, predict intention behavior. Informed by diffusion innovations theory, differences in associations model effects were tested early adopter status seasonal influenza vaccine. We recruited participants online United States longitudinal survey study. social cognition provided an acceptable ideal fit both groups but performed better among not group with statistics, mostly stronger effect sizes, greater variance accounted vaccinate against COVID-19. Instrumental attitudes toward predicted groups, non-early adopters. Capacity adopters, behavior Among subjective norms had direct on indirect Intervention research support focusing utility vaccines, fostering self-efficacy, providing normative information warranted.
