The purpose of this study was to determine factors associated with non-vaccination against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) among the Venezuelan immigrant population residing in Peru.A cross-sectional conducted using data obtained from Second Survey Population Residing Peru 2022. dependent variable vaccination status COVID-19. independent variables included socio-demographic, economic, and migratory characteristics population. Regarding factors, unemployment (adjusted ratio [aPR], 1.31; CI, 1.04 1.65) linked an increased likelihood not being vaccinated In contrast, women (aPR, 0.76; 0.61 0.95), possessing a migration permit 0.41; 0.31 0.54), having health insurance 0.47; 0.27 0.81) decreased unvaccinated.The primary governmental non-governmental institutions responsible for supporting protecting migrant refugee should improve access by issuing permits providing insurance.

Background: In this qualitative study, we aimed to evaluate the knowledge, beliefs, and attitudes of Syrian pregnant women living in Türkiye toward tetanus vaccination, vaccine hesitations, perceived benefits harms vaccine. Methods: face-to-face, in-depth interviews, an open-ended, semi-structured interview guide was used by interviewer translator who spoke Arabic, which is mother tongue participants. Codes, themes, subthemes were created. Results: face-to-face interviews conducted with a total 16 women. The median age 26.5 years (18.0–41.0). time since they arrived as migrants 8.5 (3.0–10.0). themes “Beliefs about vaccines”, “Information “Knowledge, beliefs vaccine”, “Reasons for vaccination desire”, not being vaccinated”, “Problems experienced while receiving health services”. Pregnant mostly mentioned that vaccines have benefits. Most stated needed protect from diseases. There no thinking are harmful. Some them only minor side effects observed after vaccination. Participants get information relatives such family friends, professionals, television, social media. However, some talked fact had knowledge vaccines. A lack visiting institution reasons vaccinated. Conclusions: Although participants believed necessary has benefits, idea exact purpose This may cause hesitancy refusal.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the knowledge, attitudes, and practices migrant Syrian mothers regarding neonatal screening programs (NSP) using in-depth interviews. Women were selected from Migrant Health Center (MHC), which is primary health care institution in Istanbul. A translator who spoke Arabic, native language participants, used an open-ended, semi-structed interview form guide face-to-face interviews with participants. Questions about sociodemographic information, opinions NSP's heel prick testing, diseases test screens for, reasons for agreeing test, challenges faced accessing services. audio recorded. then transcribed recordings Arabic translated them into Turkish. framework method analysis qualitative data analyze transcripts Forty-one women interviewed. It is aimed to examine the frequency of COVID-19 disease, rates vaccination and vaccine effectiveness (VE) among Syrian refugees. a retrospective cohort study. refugees aged 18 years above registered family health center in Sultanbeyli district Istanbul were included. Vaccine calculated for both Pfizer BioN-Tech CoronaVac (Sinovac) vaccines. The data 2586 people was evaluated median age participants 34.0 (min:18.0; max: 90.0). Of 58.4% (n = 1510) female, 41.6% 1076) male. In our study 15.7% had history infection. Refugees having full with Biontech Sinovac have significantly lower infection rate than those without (HR 8.687; p < 0.001). Adjusted VE Biontech, Sinovac, 89.2% (95.0% CI:83.3-93.1), 81.2% CI:48.72-93.1) 88.5% CI:82.7-92.3), respectively. results highlight importance vaccinations against pandemic, since vaccines highly protective

The global migration trend has brought attention to the mental health of immigrant populations, especially postpartum women. prevalence anxiety and depression among these populations remains a growing concern. This study aimed explore factors associated with women, special emphasis on Syrian migrants in Turkey. A cross-sectional design was employed, enrolling women who visited Strengthened Migrant Health Center Istanbul between July December 2022. Data were collected using three-part questionnaire comprising sociodemographic details scores from Edinburgh Postpartum Depression Scale (EPDS) Beck Anxiety (BAI). average age participants 25.73 years. mean EPDS BAI low at 1.27 3.85, respectively. Rational drug use is a pivotal concept linked with morbidity and mortality. Immigration plays significant role as determinant affecting individuals’ health-related attitudes, behaviors, the pursuit of health services. Within this context, study was initiated to assess factors influencing literacy rational among Syrian immigrants in Istanbul. A cross-sectional undertaken on 542 adults utilizing three-part questionnaire encompassing sociodemographics, use, e-health scale (eHEALS). With an average age 39.19 ± 13.10 years, majority participants believed medications should solely be doctor-prescribed (97%) opposed keeping antibiotics at home (93.7%). Yet, 62.5% thought excessive herbal medicine harmless. The mean eHEALS score stood 20.57 7.26, like age, marital status, income, duration stay Turkey influenced literacy. Associations were seen between low being female, older, having lower education level, regular medication use. displayed proper knowledge concerning yet exhibited gaps their understanding general usage, treatment adherence, medicines. Approximately 80.3% had limited literacy, pointing need for targeted interventions enhanced societal assimilation.

In this study, we examined breastfeeding self-efficacy levels, well-being and sociodemographic factors in pregnant women. The population of descriptive study consisted women with a pregnancy 27 weeks or more the Sultanbeyli district Istanbul, Türkiye. A questionnaire was administered via telephone calls to aged 18 years older. first part included questions regarding history information. second Prenatal Breastfeeding Self-Efficacy Scale, last Personal Well-Being Scale.
