OBJECTIVE: To elucidate the effect of oral L-glutamine (Gln) supplementation, associated or not with regular practice combined-exercise training (CET), on glycemic and lipid profile systemic inflammatory status in elderly subjects. METHODS: 84 subjects, non-practitioners (NP, n=31) practitioners CET (n=53), were supplemented Gln [0.3g/kg weight plus 10g maltodextrin, groups: NP-Gln (n=14), CET-Gln (n=26)], placebo [10g NP-PL (n=17), CET-PL (n=27)]. Anthropometric physical data assessed. Blood sampling was collected pre post-30 days supplementation. RESULTS: NP subgroups showed higher BMI serum IL-6 levels than before post-supplementation. Higher IL-10 lower IL-6/IL-10 ratio observed post-supplementation subgroup pre-supplementation. When volunteers separated according to their BMI, found all obese (OB) adequate (AW) This difference maintained between OB AW No differences profile. CONCLUSION: Oral supplementation when can modulate status, especially

SARS-CoV-2 vaccinations have greatly reduced COVID-19 cases, but we must continue to develop our understanding of the nature disease and its effects on human immunity. Previously, suggested that a dysregulated STAT3 pathway following SARS-Co-2 infection ultimately leads PAI-1 activation cascades pathologies. Inflammaging is a phenomenon that has been associated with the development and progression of sarcopenia frailty syndrome. According to literature, on one side, increase in body fat systemic pro-inflammatory status, which consequently favors inflammaging, other regular practice physical exercise can mitigate this scenario. Therefore, here, we aimed evaluate association between inflammaging factors, both functional, group physically active older women.Seventy women (mean age 72.66 ± 6.17 years) participated observational cross-sectional were separated into eutrophic, overweight, obese groups. It was assessed: by bioimpedance-body percentage (Fat%) total (Fat kg), skeletal muscle mass (muscle), free (FFM%) (FFMkg); International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ)-the time moderate-intensity activity per week; tests-handgrip (HG), sit-up-stand-on-the-chair 5 repetitions (Sit-up) vertical squat jump test (SJ); addition determination serum cytokine concentration (IL-6, TNF-α, IL-10, IL-8), also index (BMI) calf circumference (Calf).Higher FFM% lower (both kg %) found eutrophic than The performed more weekly activity, jumped higher, presented not only higher IL-6 but an increased ratio IL-10/IL-6, IL-10/TNF-α, IL-10/IL-8 as compared values overweight group. This study used UPLC-MS metabolomics to explore and compare the metabolic profiles of stroma (OSBSz), sclerotium (OSBSh), mycelium (OSBS) O analyze their differential metabolites identified potential active components. Then combined network pharmacology molecular docking mechanism anti-influenza properties. The results indicate that stroma, sclerotium, showed significant differences in metabolites. key pathways for were butanoate metabolism, thiamin alanine, aspartate glutamate citrate cycle, arginine biosynthesis. Protein-protein interaction analysis targets, including SRC, RHOA, HSP90AA1, VEGFA, ITGB1, PRKCA, ITGA1, protective in-volved PI3K-Akt, HIF-1, influenza A, Coronavirus disease 2019. core metabolite D-(-)-glutamine has high binding affinity EGFR, re-flecting multi-component multi-target system sinensis.
