Ninh Thuan is a coastal province in the central region of Vietnam and characterized by climate that hottest driest country. also one top five countries most vulnerable to effects change worldwide. The objective this study was thorough evaluation quality water supply sources impacts effluents from shrimp farms province. comprehensive based on an understanding water–wastewater cycle employed cultivation. We combined qualitative quantitative analyses undertaking study. Secondary data groundwater local periodic monitoring program national technical regulations were collected approach. integrated participatory rural appraisal techniques field observations cultivation environmental social farm effluents. assessment consisted measuring wastewater contamination ponds. As result, four main reasons for pollution issues determined including extreme weather events, practices, degraded infrastructure, mismanagement governance. Shrimp practices (feeding, using chemicals) have resulted elevated levels suspended solid (TSS, total Coliform), organic carbon matter (BOD5, COD), excessive nutrients (total Nitrogen, NO2-N, NO3-N, PO4-P). According program, experienced nutrient pollution. Groundwater sampling near identified salinization Coliform domestic sewage sources. This approach evaluated events farming water. Also, finding can be useful recommending remedial treatment technologies as follow-on phase.

Fish, constantly exposed to environmental stressors due their aquatic habitat and high metabolic rates, are susceptible oxidative stress. This review examines the interplay between stress fish reproduction, emphasizing potent antioxidant properties of astaxanthin. Our primary objective is highlight astaxanthin's role in mitigating during critical reproductive stages, leading improved gamete quality, ovary development, hormone levels. We also explore its practical applications aquaculture, including enhanced pigmentation overall health. conducted a comprehensive literature review, analyzing studies on impact reproduction. Astaxanthin, carotenoid pigment, effectively combats reactive oxygen species, inhibiting lipid peroxidation maintaining membrane integrity. It significantly enhances success improves health aquaculture settings. reveals multifaceted benefits offering economic advantages aquaculture. Future research should delve into species-specific responses, optimal dosages, long-term effects astaxanthin supplementation inform sustainable strategies.

Gene editing (GnEd) involves using a site-directed nuclease to introduce double-strand break (DSB) at targeted location in the genome. A literature search was performed on use of GnEd animals for agricultural applications. Data extracted from 212 peer-reviewed articles that described production least one living animal employing technologies purposes. The most common system reported CRISPR/Cas9, and frequent type edit unguided insertion or deletion resulting repair DSB leading knock-out (KO) mutation. Animal groups included reviewed papers were ruminants (cattle, sheep, goats, n=63); monogastrics (pigs rabbit, n=60); avian (chicken, duck, quail, n=17); aquatic (many species, n=65), insects (honeybee, silkworm, n=7). Yield (32%), followed by reproduction (21%) disease resistance (17%) most- commonly traits. Over half had Chinese first-authorship. Several countries, including Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Colombia Japan, have adopted regulatory policy considers KO mutations introduced following as akin natural genetic variation, therefore treat these analogously those produced conventional breeding. This approach has resulted non-GMO determination small number food applications, three species fast-growing fish, (red sea bream, olive flounder tiger pufferfish Japan), fish cattle Argentina porcine reproductive respiratory syndrome (PRRS) virus disease-resistant pigs Colombia.

Aquaculture is the fastest-growing food sector and essential for global production nutrition security. Continuous advancement with future innovations therefore necessary sustainability. In aquafeed, traditional feed additives have been used to enhance nutritional value of formulated diets. Recently, nanotechnology has shown potential improve formulation reduce environmental impacts aquafeeds. This research examines use fish enhanced sustainability in aquaculture, focusing on how nanoparticles as dietary can boost nutrient availability, feeding efficiency, growth performance, health aquatic species. Results show that nano-enhanced diets health, by enhancing efficiency minimizing waste. Nanoparticles such selenium, zinc, iron demonstrated notable benefits growth, antioxidant defense, disease resistance. However, challenges include nanoparticle toxicity, high costs, regulatory concerns. While shows great promise transforming aquaculture feed, its long-term require careful thorough evaluation. study advances sustainable providing new insights into integrating diets, aiming optimize aquafeed improved productivity

This study presents a case focused on sustainable farming practices, specifically the cultivation of tilapia (Mozambican and aureus species) in ponds with geothermal water. research aims to optimize hydrochemical regime experimental enhance growth metrics external characteristics breeders. The dataset encompasses parameters fish feeding base from where were cultivated. Genetic algorithms (GA) employed for hyperparameter optimization (HPO) deep neural networks (DNN) prediction productivity each pond under varying conditions, achieving an R2 score 0.94. GA-driven HPO process is robust method optimizing aquaculture practices by accurately predicting how different conditions feed bases influence tilapia. By determining these factors, model promotes improving breeding outcomes maximizing aquaculture. approach can also be applied other systems, enhancing efficiency sustainability across various species.
