The article examines the relationship between adolescent social media addiction and personality traits. research is highly relevant as an integral part of modern people's daily lives. Although Internet has numerous advantages, such communication, information sharing, access to educational resources, excessive use can lead addiction. In this regard, teenagers are particularly vulnerable due their developmental stage. A total 165 aged 12-17 participated in research. Tests psychological interview methods were applied, mathematical-statistical analysis was performed by calculating Pearson linear correlation coefficient. study found that addicts have higher levels neuroticism openness experience than non-addicts. However, those with had lower extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness without. Thus, shows a strong practical significance. results be used for further prevention media.

ABSTRACT The aim of this study is to examine the prevalence social media use disorder among adolescents and investigate relationship between use, level cyber human values, cyberbullying, or cybervictimization. This employed a cross‐sectional design, with 1571 enrolled in high school participating investigation. Data collection was conducted utilizing “Social Media Disorder Scale,” “Cyber Bullying Victimization Human Values Scale.” Upon examination results study, it observed that there an increase cyberbullying age, disorder, values being more common girls ( p < 0.05). Excessive Smartphone Use (ESU) has emerged as a major social concern, with widespread reliance on smartphones and the Internet resulting in various detrimental effects. This research aimed to analyze primary psychological factors that affect ESU among individuals using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). addiction levels were evaluated Addiction Scale, along five different temperamental traits, namely, Depressive, Cyclothymic, Hyperthymic, Anxious, Irritable, Affective Temperament Measure. Self-esteem was examined Rosenberg self-esteem scale. Of 376 participants aged 16 23, 88.4% showed signs of ESU, certain traits being more prevalent. Negative impacts especially noticeable women. found be 15.7% high, 23.8% moderate, 60.5% low. The results emphasize harmful effects excessive smartphone use emotional cognitive well-being, particularly those lower self-esteem. study highlights need understand these relationships create strategies mitigate negative overuse.

Purpose Social media (SM) has become a common activity for today’s young people. It is sometimes overused and potentially results in SM addiction. This study aims to assess addiction its associated factors medical students examine relationship with dimensions of personality global self-esteem, social self-esteem. Media Addiction Scale-Student Form (SMAS-SF) , Big Five Inventory Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale were used collect data. Results Overall, 116 included survey. The median age participants was 26 years, 91 (78.4%) female. Almost half them (55.20%) enrolled third cycle. most widely Facebook (98.3%). Students highest SMAS-SF scores had significantly younger first use (p=0.011, r=-0.235), spent more time on their favorite (p=0.005, r=0.260), performed activities SM, namely: making comments (p=0.005), browsing profiles (p=0.018), posting videos (p=0.007) or pictures (p=0.002). need establish an identity higher (p=0.011). also found that neuroticism low level conscientiousness linked high (p=0.006, r=0.252 p=0.050, r=-0.183, respectively). Pathways to social media addiction: Examining its prevalence, and predictive factors among Ghanaian youths DOI

Social media addiction among youths is becoming a pressing public mental health issue in contemporary society due to the devastating consequences on individuals (i.e., perpetrator and victim) society.
