Effective physical training is crucial for karate athletes aiming to enhance their techniques and increase the speed of attacks, particularly gyaku-tsuki. This study investigates impact rubber-based exercise on gyaku-tsuki punches among Gokasi in Jember Regency with an age range 16-20 years, male female. An experimental method a one-group pretest-posttest design was employed. The population this were junior senior classes, total 12 athletes. sampling technique used research sampling. Therefore, entire taken as sample Speed measurements punch both before after rubber regimen. Data analysis using SPSS 21 covering descriptive analysis, normality test, Paired Test. paired test yielded significance value 0.000, which below 0.05 threshold. Analysis pre-test post-test averages shows from 30.67 31.92. These findings suggest that four-week program positively affected Gyaku-Tsuki speed. Furthermore, average results demonstrate improvement contribute coaches applying exercises improve also provide valuable insights athletes, recommending inclusion routines effectiveness punches.

This research aims to analyze in depth the stress management abilities of karate athletes West Nusa Tenggara Province, Indonesia. type is quantitative descriptive research, with a survey approach. The sample for this was 30 male who were undergoing PELATDA (Regional Training) and would be prepared participate national championship Athlete characteristics: age 18.01±3.2 years, training experience 10.46±0.5 at first competition 11.87±5.9 number involvement one year 3 – 5 competitions. instrument used questionnaire using Likert scale. There are four dimensions instrument, namely dimension, emotional substantial dimension mental dimension. Data analysis percentage formula, then grouped into categories. results study 11 (36%) had 'very high' stress, (19%) 'high' 6 (21%) 'low' 8 (24%) low' stress'. conclusion that psychological condition must managed well by athletes. Because can affect an athlete's performance directly or indirectly.
