BACKGROUND
Resource
limitations

public
hospitals

hinder
the
timely
monitoring
and
management
of
rehabilitation
patients
with
nasopharyngeal
carcinoma
(NPC)
following
radiotherapy.
OBJECTIVE
This
study
developed
evaluated
telemedicine
application
"Open
Care,"
which
integrates
EffiFCNN-ResNet
model
computer
vision
to
monitor
provide
real-time
feedback
on
facial
training
exercises,
aiming
improve
outcomes
for
restricted
mouth
opening.
METHODS
A
parallel-group,
two-arm
randomized
controlled
trial
was
conducted
108
patients,
randomly
assigned
either
intervention
group
(n
=
54)
or
control
54).The
performed
mouth-opening
exercises
under
supervision
guidance
application,
while
followed
traditional
video-based
instructions.Primary
outcome
measures
included
maximum
opening,
opening
symmetry,
exercise
frequency,
rehabilitation-related
health
beliefs.
Secondary
fatigue
(Brief
Fatigue
Inventory),
health-related
quality
life
(AQoL-6D),
system
usability
(SUS).
Data
were
analyzed
using
T-tests,
chi-square
tests,
Mann-Whitney
U
tests.
RESULTS
Results
showed
significant
improvements
perceived
benefits,
self-efficacy,
action
cues
(p
<
0.05).
The
demonstrated
98.2%
accuracy
assessing
exercises.
Participants
also
reported
favorable
experiences.
CONCLUSIONS
