This study investigates the socio-economic impact of poverty on residents Windhoek's informal settlements: Havana, Ombili, and Single Quarters. Using a qualitative research design, data were collected through semi-structured interviews focus group discussions with 72 participants. Key themes include scarcity resources, health impacts, educational challenges, employment barriers, coping mechanisms. Findings highlight severe deprivation due to inadequate sanitation, limited healthcare, insufficient education, challenges entrenched by reliance sector. Policy recommendations enhancing infrastructure, job creation, community-based initiatives alleviate improve quality life in Windhoek.
