Background The systemic inflammation response index (SIRI) has been investigated for its prognostic relevance in patients with glioma; however, findings remain inconsistent. Therefore, this meta-analysis aimed to clarify the value of SIRI glioma. Methods PubMed, Web Science, Embase, Cochrane Library, and CNKI were systematically searched through December 28, 2024. Pooled hazard ratios (HRs) 95% confidence intervals (CIs) calculated assess association between glioma prognosis. Results A total 10 studies including 1,942 participants analyzed. Elevated was significantly associated poorer overall survival (OS) (HR=1.67, CI=1.46–1.91, p<0.001) shorter progression-free (PFS) (HR=1.80, CI=1.29–2.52, p=0.001). Subgroup analyses indicated that OS PFS consistent regardless sample size, pathological subtype, cutoff value, or type analysis (p<0.05). Sensitivity publication bias confirmed robustness results. Conclusion This demonstrates high is a significant predictor may serve as promising biomarker glioma-related clinical practice.

Background/Objectives: Oral cavity carcinomas (OCCs) represent roughly 50% of all head and neck cancers. The risk occult metastases for early-stage OCCs ranges from 15 to 35%, thus the need develop tools that can support diagnosis detecting these metastases. Inflammatory biomarkers perineural lympho-vascular invasion are emerging as effective in this field. aim study is demonstrate effectiveness parameters detect (T1-T2/N0) OCCs. Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 81 patients surgically treated OCC. For patients, data regarding TNM, pN status after histopathological examination, inflammatory biomarkers, have been obtained. statistical performed using receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve calculate optimal cutoff values SII, SIRI, PLR, NLR. Results: Fifty-eight confirmed N0 surgery, while twenty-three resulted pN+. best cut-off were PLR 249.30, NLR 13.10, MLR 0.439, SII 1043.12, SIRI 1.85. accuracy 75%, 81%, 74%, 73%, 70%, 83%. Conclusions: Our results confirm clinical relevance could be used routinely preoperative help surgeons decision-making process, particularly surgical indications lymph nodes treatment.

Study Design Cross-sectional study. Objective To examine the association between SIRI and spinal BMD assess influence of age, hypertension, diabetes. Methods We analyzed data from 13,950 participants aged ≥20 years. was calculated using neutrophil, monocyte, lymphocyte counts, measured by DXA. Linear regression, generalized additive models, segmented regression were used, with subgroup analyses based on Results A threshold effect observed at = 0.68. Below this threshold, negatively correlated (β −0.0412, P 0.0494), while above it, a positive correlation found 0.0079, < 0.0001). Subgroup showed stronger associations in older adults (≥65 years, β 0.0136, 0.0001), those hypertension 0.0089, 0.0004) diabetes 0.0187, 0.001). Conclusion nonlinear relationship exists BMD, as significant modifiers. may serve biomarker for osteoporosis risk.
