In this study, we aimed to expand the domain specificity of grit by exploring it in realm parenting. Academic resilience is a student’s ability to achieve academic results significantly higher than would be expected according their socioeconomic level. In this study, we aimed identify the characteristics of students, families, and teacher activities which had greatest impact on resilience. The sample comprised 117,539 fourth grade students 6,222 teachers from 4,324 schools in member states European Union that participated PIRLS 2016 study. Soft skills are the key characteristics for students’ success and wellbeing in 21st century, but they were only rarely studied contemporarily or integrated into comprehensive models of self-regulated learning. The COVID-19 pandemic disrupted students' daily life, but grit could have sustained wellbeing by helping them work hard and stay goal-oriented over time despite adversity. Gritty students may also interpreted COVID-19-related adversity as an opportunity to grow, thus displaying higher levels of post-traumatic growth. Academic self-concept is one of the most important non-cognitive variables in determining students' attitudes towards school and their performance. Psychological constructs encompass both stable traits and unstable state factors. This study investigates the stability of grit subfactors among middle school students, focusing on those experiencing poor developmental-stage-environment fit. Utilizing trait-state-occasion (TSO) model, we delineate consistency interest (CI) level perseverance effort (PE) characteristics statuses. Moreover, introduce variables concerning peer, teacher, parental relationships, recognized as significant influences students' development. Data from 2,380 students Korean Children Youth Panel Survey 2018 are analyzed. Results indicate that CI PE exhibit influenced by time-invariant characteristics. Additionally, changeable aspects. Abstract We evaluated a curriculum that focused on bolstering grit and locus of control in seventh grade students at school upstate New York. The intervention included lessons aimed building growth mindset determination, along with writing projects collaborative work. A pre−post design was utilized such surveys measuring were administered the beginning year end for 215 students. Participants also completed standardized tests reading math. Students' scores showed significant change toward higher perceived control. lowest scoring increase over same time period. No changes observed comparison did not receive intervention.
