Researchers have questioned whether grit should be conceptualized and measured as a global (i.e., domain‐general) or domain‐specific construct. Although evidence is beginning to appear that in educational sport contexts may domain‐specific, it has not yet been explored the organizational context. Abstract The non-cognitive skills self-control and grit are often considered predictors of school performance, but whether this relationship is causal remains unclear. We investigated the causality association using a twin design. Specifically, we evaluated direct impact on while controlling for genetic or environmental influences common to all three traits (i.e., confounding). Teachers 4891 Dutch 12-year-old pairs (of which 3837 were complete pairs) completed survey about performance (school grades), (ASEBA scale), perseverance aspect grit. El grit es una variable importante para predecir indicadores de éxito en diversos contextos entre los que se encuentra el académico. Sin embargo, son escasos instrumentos medida bien validados apoyo a la investigación. objetivo del presente estudio consolidar validación Escala Grit Oviedo (EGO) presentando datos su Portugal. Se empleó muestra 285 participantes portugueses (Maños= 18.46; DTaños= 1.30). Además, población española analizar invarianza (330 participantes; Maños= 23.01 y 3.22). confirmó unidimensionalidad escala EGO contexto portugués, mostrando además escalar ambas poblaciones. Introducción: La resiliencia académica consiste en obtener altas calificaciones a pesar de hallarse una desventaja socioeconómica. En el presente estudio se observó si esfuerzo, las expectativas y autoconcepto académicos forman parte la o estarían explicando un buen rendimiento académico general. Método: Los participantes, población 7479 adolescentes españoles (M = 13.87; DT 0.82), fueron divididos cuatro grupos según (Bueno-Malo) nivel socioeconómico (Clase alta-Clase baja).
