This study investigates the contributions of sports social projects (SSP), student's body image development, and resilience through sport. work is a narrative review literature. Resilience also new topic that needs further study. The issue in SSP even lower, with large gap. findings show provides benefits thanks to regular practice collaboration forming students. However, there “shadow side sport”, showing many SSPs are palliative, as they have shallow unclear goals. For better analysis contribution development resilience, more studies related these themes needed because material found still tiny. Even so, this article presents most used concepts themes, trying contribute significant discussion. Purpose: We evaluated the extent of changes in training practices, recovery, mental health, and sleep patterns athletes during early COVID-19 lockdown a single country-cohort. Methods: A total 686 (59% male, 41% female; 9% World Class, 28% International, 29% National, 26% State, 8% Recreational) from 50 sports (45% individual, 55% team) Malaysia completed an online, survey-based questionnaire study. The questions were related to practices (including recovery injury), patterns. Results: Relative pre-lockdown, intensity (−34%), frequency (−20%, except World-Class), duration (−24%–59%, especially International/World-Class) compromised, by mandated lockdown. During lockdown, more space/access (69%) equipment available for cardiorespiratory training, than technical strength; these resources favoured World-Class athletes. Most trained general strength/health (88%) muscular endurance (71%); some used innovative/digital tools (World-Class 48% vs. lower classification-levels ≤34%). More World-Class, National performed strength plyometrics, sport-specific skills with proper equipment, State/Recreational females (42%) sourced materials social media males (29%). Some (38%) injury prevention exercises; 18% had mild injuries (knees 29%, ankles 26%), received medical diagnosis (International 31%). Lower-level (e.g., State 44%) disclosed that they mentally vulnerable; felt anxious (36% higher-levels 14%–21%). Sleep quality quantity “normal” (49% both), “improved” (35% 27%), only 16% 14% (respectively) stated “worsened” sleep. Conclusion: Lockdown compromised training-related lower-level Athletes are need assistance cope anxiety should be tailored individual country requirements situations. In particular, goal-driven (even if it is at home) fitness psychological, financial, lifestyle support can provided reduce difficulties associated lockdowns. Policies guidelines facilitate (of all levels) train regularly developed.

The COVID-19 lockdown challenged the training options of athletes worldwide, including players from most popular sport globally, football/soccer. Purpose : authors explored practices football worldwide during lockdown. Methods Football (N = 2482, 30% professional, 22% semipro, and 48% amateur) completed an online survey (May–July 2020) on their before versus (March–June 2020). Questions were related to frequency session duration, as well knowledge attitudes. Results Before lockdown, more professional (87%) than semipro (67%) amateur (65%) trained ≥5 sessions/wk, but this proportion decreased 55%, 35%, 42%, respectively. Players (80%–87%) ≥60 minutes 45% in professionals, 43% amateurs, 36% semipros At home, two-thirds had space (73%) equipment (66%) for cardiorespiratory training, while availability technical strength was <50% Interactions between coach/trainer player frequent (ie, daily) among (27%) (11%) (17%) players. Training load monitoring, albeit limited, mostly performed by fitness coaches, so with professionals (35%) amateurs (13%) (17%). players’ attitudes/beliefs toward relatively modest (50%–59%). Conclusion negatively affected especially semipros, example, frequency, intensity, technical, recovery, other coaching-related aspects. During lockdown-like situations, should be monitored closely provided appropriate support facilitate training.

Of around 2 billion Muslims worldwide, approximately 1.5 observe Ramadan fasting (RF) month. Those that RF have diverse cultural, ethnic, social, and economic backgrounds are distributed over a wide geographical area. Sleep is known to be significantly altered during the month of Ramadan, which has profound impact on human health. Moreover, sleep closely connected dietary lifestyle behaviors. This cross-sectional study collected data using structured, self-administered electronic questionnaire was translated into 13 languages disseminated Muslim populations across 27 countries. The assessed factors as independent variables, three parameters (quality, duration, disturbance) dependent variables. We performed structural equation modeling (SEM) examine how affected these parameters. In total, 24,541 adults were enrolled in this study. SEM analysis revealed RF, optimum duration (7-9 h) associated with sufficient physical activity (PA) consuming plant-based proteins. In addition, smoking greater disturbance lower quality. Participants consumed vegetables, fruits, dates, proteins reported better Infrequent consumption delivered food infrequent screen time also Conflicting results found regarding dining at home versus out parameters.Increasing intake important could help improve healthy for those observing RF. regular PA avoiding may contribute improving

Muslims fast every year during the month of Ramadan from dawn until dusk. This study examined mental well-being and correlating factors among Nigerian adults who observed intermittent fasting (RIF).A validated generalized anxiety disorder-2 Patient Health Questionnaire-2, four-item spiritual index, Islamic intrinsic religiosity questionnaire were used to collect data about (depression, anxiety), spirituality, through a web-based survey between May 9, 2021 (27th Ramadan, 1442) June 4, (29th Shawwal, 1442). We studied respondents over period 4 weeks before (BR) April 12, 2021(DR). Multinomial regression analysis was determine associated with depression anxiety. research did not receive any grant or funding.A total 770 adult Nigerians RIF included in this cross-sectional study. When compared BR, observing by significant improvement their well-being. A higher proportion felt less depressed DR (61.3% vs. 56.5%. < .001). Interest pleasure doing things improved than BR (p= 0.007) nervous anxious (60.7% 57.1%, respectively; p <.001). Mental independently sociodemographic characteristics, physical activity, perceived relationships. This found despite ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Abstract Background For athletes, overcoming obstacles in challenging situations like pandemic home training is crucial. Strategies and approaches this context are not well-documented. Our study aims to investigate such a scenario from performance standpoint, based on major global crisis: the COVID-19 lockdown. Methods This cross-sectional surveyed athletes without disabilities using online questionnaires (35 languages) May July 2020. Questions included aspects of alternative routines, monitoring, recovery, sleep patterns, injury occurrence/prevention structured answers, an open-ended question lockdown experiences. Results Of 11,762 142 countries, 63% were male, including at World-Class, International, National, State Recreational levels. During lockdown, 25% used innovative or modern ways maintain improve fitness e.g., virtual reality tracking devices (favoring World-Class level, 30%). Many regardless gender (43%) watched video competitions improve/maintain their mental skills [World-Class (47%) International (51%)]. Contact frequency between coaches was mainly least once week (36%), more among higher-level (World-Class/International) than lower-level (27 vs. 16%). Higher-level (≥ 54%) monitored load assisted by (21%). stretching (67%) considered one primary means especially for (> 70%). Compared pre-lockdown, about two-thirds reported “normal” “improved” quality quantity, suggesting low pre-lockdown. On average, 40% utilized prevention exercises (at least) (51%) (39%)]. Most occurrences during involved knee (18%), ankle (16%), back (9%). Four key themes emerged regarding experiences: remote adaptation (e.g., shifting focus), creativity household items), enhancement opportunities refocusing neglected aspects), motivation challenges. Conclusions Both male female particularly those higher levels, displayed some adaptalibity employing technology training. implemented attentive prevention, while optimizing quantity. Athletes demonstrated abilities navigate challenges, different coping strategies response lockdown’s constraints.
