Cross-sector collaboration between statutory child protection and domestic family violence services (DFV) is recognised as a best social work practice to improve the safety of women children. However, there are many challenges in establishing collaborative service-delivery, particularly non-statutory specialist DFV agencies has been extremely limited research this context. Addressing gap, study used qualitative design demonstrate benefits using co-design build at intersection South Australia. Child maltreatment has received substantial academic attention. However, little remains known about the intersection of different types child and their association with young people's use violence in home. To examine intergenerational transmission through setting: A total 5021 people (16–20 years old) completed an online survey, recruited using non-probability sampling via survey panels. Analyses were carried out χ2 tests a series binary logistic regressions to between participant characteristics unique experiences forms violence. Overall, 29.9% participants had experienced at least one form 16.7% reported multi-type maltreatment. Abstract While there is much research on the topic of child maltreatment more broadly in Australia, a nuanced understanding intergenerational needed to improve our responses. Little work has considered all four patterns maltreatment: cycle maintainers (maltreated parents with maltreated children), breakers non‐maltreated initiators (non‐maltreated children) and comparison group children). We use this terminology maintain consistency international literature, but acknowledge that these terms minimise complexity inherent contact protection systems. Research mainly focused maintainers, which hinders ability appropriately support families limits individuals breaking cycle. This paper outlines key knowledge gaps identifies strategic areas focus for researchers policymakers. The manifestation of complex trauma results from exposure to severe and repetitive stressors occurring within the caregiver system. Early intervention in problem sexual behavior (PSB) is critical; however, little known about the engagement of children and families therapeutic for PSB. This research explored characteristics, presenting issues, 242 aged 4-12 years attending a service Most frequently, PSB occurred within sibling relationships. Girls were more likely to engage alone (self-directed or non-targeted behaviors), while boys involve other young people (interpersonal PSB). One-third (35%) clients engaged completion therapy. Parental noninvolvement self-directed predicted early disengagement. Client demographics, abuse, interpersonal behaviors not associated with therapy completion.
