The globe faces food security difficulties because of population increase and resource degradation, both worsened by climate change. Applying chemical fertilizer along with cereal-based cropping systems degrades soil health respect to physical, chemical, biological properties, which also results in low crop land productivity. However, adopting legume-based integrated nutrient management provides an appropriate way reach Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Hence, a field trial was conducted on groundnut 2018 2019 at the Post Graduate Research Farm, M.S. Present-day agriculture is under tremendous pressure due to various factors such as climate change, degradation of soil and water quality, yield plateauing major food crops. Under these scenarios, there an urgent need choose a climate-resilient ecologically hardy crop which can perform adverse conditions with low input requirements. In this regard, millets be suitable crops for agricultural sustainability. Among millets, finger millet (Eleusine coracana L. Gaertn) cultivated mainly in India Africa. However, most farmers grow local cultivars, improved ones replaced enhance productivity. The present investigation conducted at the Post Graduate Research Farm Centurion University Technology Management, Odisha, focused on evaluating cultivars millet. study revealed that significantly influenced growth, productivity, economics. physiological growth parameters, namely, rate, relative net assimilation rate leaf area duration were by cultivars. growing degree days (GDD), helio-thermal units (HTU) photothermal (PTU) showed great variation among Maximum total GDD (2169 °C day), HTU (18141 day hours) PTU (24297 recorded cultivar Hima(w) VR 936. Indravathi 1101, Sri Chaitanya 847 (1.73) Hima (W) 936 (1.60) superior other expression grain economics concluded cultivation could considered short-duration cultivars; however, chosen long successful higher returns benefit-cost ratio hot sub-humid regions Odisha.

The butterfly pea flower (Clitoria ternatea L.) is a that identical to blue purple petals and contains various phytochemical compounds. Heat processing in extract can reduce its nutritional sensory properties, which indicated by decrease each quality parameter, namely color intensity, total anthocyanins, red flavylium cation, quinonoidal base, anionic ferrulic acid, caffeic p-hydroxybenzoic procatechuic gallic vanillic vanillin, procyanidin hexamer III, delphinidin-3-glucosse. thermal process deactivate bacterial spores maintain the of extract. This paper will review steps be used as reference for researchers or industry optimize commercial sterilization processes using heating kinetics. method studied adopted this article based on kinetics parameter (k D values) combined towards temperature (Z value). combination time determined referring Z values. To process, heater needs evaluated need prescribed. design contribute greatly functional food business with standards aim claim compounds at certain concentrations after processing.

Capsicum cultivation is a highly challenging task in open field conditions because of the extreme climatic and poor input delivery system. Hence, protected capsicum catching up. The present study evaluates comparative performance polyhouse, shadenet house opens on biometric, yield, fruit quality economics using drip fertigation also determines optimum dose irrigation water fertilizer application methods under different structures. was conducted at Precision Farming Development Centre, IIT Kharagpur, for two consecutive years during 2022 2023. requirement estimated FAO-56 Penman Monteith approach. When compared to cultivation, irrigated requires approximately 35.2% less polyhouse 25.5% shade net houses. found that biometric parameters, yield are superior comparison grown conditions. Polyhouse treatments, particularly 100% RDF with 80% WR, demonstrated metrics, productivity other treatments. 120% WR showed enhanced over Economic analysis revealed despite higher initial costs, yielded highest profit benefit-cost ratio, followed by These findings underscore importance controlled environments improving production economic returns, highlighting potential polyhouses houses optimizing crop resource use efficiency.

Cereal crop cultivation is one of the essential agricultural practices adopted worldwide to feed human beings, providing dietary energy and food security. Maize important in different cereal crops' areas, production, productivity. In high-input-demanding crops like maize, it mandatory evaluate input output along with economics study for better optimization resources efficient management inputs maize cultivation. The present was conducted at Postgraduate Research Farm Centurion University Technology Management, Odisha, India, two consecutive years during Rabi season (November-March) 2021-22 2022-23. experiment carried out brown forest soil, sandy loam texture a Randomized Complete Block Design 13 treatments, each treatment replicated thrice. treatments comprise various graded fertilizer levels, precision nitrogen decision support systems-based nutrient nano treatment. results revealed that among highest (21546.8 MJ ha-1) recorded T4: 150% RDF. terms net energy, values were T10: CCM-based sufficiency index 90%-95% use efficiency productivity as T9: 85%-90%. Further, maximum cost incurred RDF closely followed by 85%-90% 90%-95%. gross returns SI case benefit-cost ratio, value (1.29 1.24 study, respectively) findings this demonstrate potential through CCM Sufficiency under South Odisha more sustainability profitability.
