In
this
paper,
we
investigated
the
role
of
generative
AI
in
education
academic
publications
extracted
from
Web
Science
(3506
records;
2019–2024).
The
proposed
methodology
included
three
main
streams:
(1)
Monthly
analysis
trends;
top-ranking
research
areas,
keywords
and
universities;
frequency
over
time;
a
keyword
co-occurrence
map;
collaboration
networks;
Sankey
diagram
illustrating
relationship
between
AI-related
terms,
publication
years
areas;
(2)
Sentiment
using
custom
list
words,
VADER
TextBlob;
(3)
Topic
modeling
Latent
Dirichlet
Allocation
(LDA).
Terms
such
as
“artificial
intelligence”
“generative
artificial
were
predominant,
but
they
diverged
evolved
time.
By
2024,
applications
had
branched
into
specialized
fields,
including
educational
research,
computer
science,
engineering,
psychology,
medical
informatics,
healthcare
sciences,
general
medicine
surgery.

with

aimed
at

supporting
teaching
lesser-known
languages.
Further,
gamification
involves
designing
interactive
storytelling

enhance

commentary,
we
first
examine
the
role
of
AI
in

integrated
with
teaching
learning
process.
It
also
discusses
impact
on
higher
through
specific
case
studies

to
illuminate
current/emerging
trends,
challenges,
potential
future
directions.
Furthermore,
highlights
insights
from
initiatives,
policy
frameworks,
ethical
standards
adopted
by
prominent
organizations
govern
education.
The
study
concludes
that
optimal
use

can

be
harnessed
proper
transparency
balance.

patterns,

collaboration
networks.
Analyzing

documents,
identifies
key
trends
growth
areas
AI-based
learning.
The
findings
this
indicate
an
increase
research
publications,
especially
2022
2023.

show
that
developed
countries
such
as
United
States,
China,
Kingdom
dominate
education.
Their
contributions
include
technology
development
international
collaboration.
Then,
offers
insight
into
global
landscape
highlighting
require
further
exploration

In
