Celiac disease (CD) is a type of systemic autoimmune condition triggered by gluten consumption among genetically predisposed individuals. To assess the knowledge, awareness, and practices pertaining to CD associated conditions dietitians in Jordan. A cross-sectional web-based survey was carried out between April October 2023. The an internet-based questionnaire with closed-ended questions. majority answered correctly that caused due immunological reaction gluten, gliadin, protamine (91.7%); it (71.2%); risk developing higher patients (78.8). respondents (93.6%) identified strict gluten-free diet treatment approach for patients. However, only (18.9%) FDA guidelines "Gluten Free" food labeling. Approximately 53.4% immunoglobulin (IgA) antibody testing as most reliable way diagnose CD. have good understanding topics. development credentials would ensure practicing are skilled.

Type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) and celiac disease (CD) are one of the most recognized related autoimmune disorders as they share a common genetic background that has been found in HLA genotype, more specifically DQ2 DQ8 molecules. Studies have shown environmental factors early or late exposure to cereals first months life acquired viral infections implicated risk development autoantigens. CD, cases, is asymptomatic; therefore, it goes underdiagnosed. As result, linked consequences decreased growth, delayed puberty, anemia. Also, CD considered an independent factor for nephropathy retinopathy. Therefore, T1DM patients, high-risk individuals, screening recommended, especially analyze their joint management. A gluten-free diet studied possible benefits glycemic control decreasing hypoglycemic episodes preventing bowel mucosal damage gluten well documented primary trigger these responses. This article reviewed concurrent occurrence regarding pathogenesis, clinical overlaps, screening, management options.

Being defined as an autoimmune, chronic pathology, frequently encountered in any age group, but especially pediatrics, celiac disease (also called gluten enteropathy), is gaining more and ground terms of diagnosis, also interest research. The data from the literature last decades attest chameleonic way its presentation, there may be both classic onset symptoms atypical symptoms. Given impact played by disease, optimal growth development children, current narrative review aims to highlight presentation methods, intended guide clinician towards inclusion pathology differential diagnosis scheme. To these we add summary general therapeutic lines regarding underlying condition existing comorbidities. In order place related information up date, performed a recent articles published international databases. We bring forward theories approaches manifestations. Among note mainly constitutional, skin or mucous, bone, neuro-psychic, renal, reproductive injuries, disorders biological constants association with multiple autoimmunities. Celiac disease (CD) is a gluten-sensitive immune-mediated enteropathy. This proof-of-concept study used convolutional neural network (CNN) to classify hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) CD histological images, normal small intestine control, non-specified duodenal inflammation (7294, 11,642, 5966 respectively). The trained classified with high performance (accuracy 99.7%, precision 99.6%, recall 99.3%, F1-score 99.5%, specificity 99.8%). Interestingly, when the same (already for 3 class images), analyzed adenocarcinoma (3723 new images were as in 63.65%, control 34.73%, 1.61% of cases; was retrained using 4 subtypes, above 99% 97% adenocarcinoma. Finally, model added 13,043 Crohn’s include other inflammatory bowel diseases; comparison between different CNN architectures performed, gradient-weighted activation mapping (Grad-CAM) technique understand why deep learning made its classification decisions. In conclusion, CNN-based system 5 diagnoses performance. Celiac disease (CD) and allergic diseases are immune-mediated disorders with overlapping clinical immunologic features. The association between CD selective immunoglobulin (Ig) A deficiency (sIgAD) is well-established, but limited data exist on the relationship CD, other antibody deficiencies, in children. This study aimed to evaluate prevalence of manifestations abnormalities children CD. prospective included biopsy-confirmed followed at a gastroenterology clinic from August 2022 February 2023. Participants underwent comprehensive evaluation, including serum levels, vaccine responses, lymphocyte subgroup analysis, allergy testing as clinically indicated. cohort 76 patients median age 11 years diagnosis 5.8 years. Allergic aeroallergen sensitivity (22.4%), rhinitis (15.8%), conjunctivitis (13.2%), food (5.3%), asthma eczema (3.9% each). Immunologic evaluations revealed normal profiles 69.7% patients, while partial IgM (6.6%), unclassified hypogammaglobulinemia sIgAD (2.6%), transient infancy (2.6%). Elevated IgE levels were observed 13.2% patients. highlighted significant extending beyond commonly recognized sIgAD. These findings underscore importance evaluation

Abstract The purpose of this study is to evaluate the demographics, clinical presentation, laboratory findings, and gastrointestinal endoscopic findings in children with CD assess their relationship interleukin-15 (IL-15) single-nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) (rs2857261) serum IL-15 levels. This case–control prospective cohort included 54 newly diagnosed pediatric patients attending Gastroenterology Clinic at Alexandria University Children’s Hospital 44 age- sex-matched healthy controls. Demographics, data, tests, Marsh classification, SNP genotypes were analyzed. Follow-up after 9 months on a gluten-free diet (GFD) was conducted. mean age controls 8.62 ± 4.4 8.07 4.7 years, respectively, no significant difference ( p = 0.55). Male representation 48.1% 47.7% 0.97). most common presenting symptoms abdominal distension (61.11%) failure thrive (59.26%). Laboratory showed that anti-tissue transglutaminase immunoglobulin A 103 168 U/ml, anti-endomysium positive 51.85% patients. Histopathological assessment revealed 3C as finding (37%), while 37% without biopsy. analysis significantly higher prevalence A/A genotype compared < 0.0001). A/G G/G protective against CD, odds ratios 0.088 0.079, respectively. No associations observed between clinical, laboratory, or histological variables. After 6 GFD, did not influence symptom resolution > 0.05). Conclusions : Serum levels are elevated associated increased susceptibility appear protective. These highlight potential biomarker therapeutic target CD. Further large-scale studies warranted validate these explore applications. What Known: • Celiac disease an immune-mediated enteropathy linked HLA-DQ2/DQ8 alleles, playing key role its pathogenesis. Variability genetic polymorphisms has been suggested but remains underexplored populations. New: identifies risk factor for Elevated target.
